*Cici POV*
"So I basically told him to leave me out of it. The last thing I need is more drama, right? I'm in the right here. Right?" Julia asked worriedly as she walked next to me out the door from Chem. I patted her on the shoulder before digging into my bag for my glasses.
"You should stay with him Jules. He was hot and hot guys are always great status boosters in school." Jess blurted out, very unlike my answer in my head. She too was grabbing her glasses from her Louis Vuitton bag.
I placed my new sun glasses on before opening the back door of building A, the oldest building at campus, and stepping out into the early spring weather of Washington.
The entire school was an elaborate village styled public school with three main buildings and four smaller ones; one for music, one for art, one for sports, and the final one for culinary and lunch. The only way the school stayed connected with these buildings was by the bright blue sidewalks that led to each door way into every single building.
Jess, Julia and I had just ditched the last ten minutes of Chem. and were heading for our lockers out in building C.
When we started on the path I realized how much the sun really was shining and questioned the use of the new glasses on my face. I took the glasses off my face and looked down at them for a second as we walked with a frown before Jess came in again.
"New glasses Cici? They're hot. Put them back on." I shifted my gaze back to Jess who was watching me with her hazel eyes watching me like a hawk. Slowly I placed the glasses back on my faces.
"What brand?" She asked again. I knew Jess had perfect eye sight and could read the label from where she was but I responded anyway with a short reply of "Chanel".
This made Jess perk up and then shift her eyes to Julia who was the only one in our group not wearing sun glasses.
"Where are your designer glasses Jules?" Jess asked skeptically. Julia mumbled something that I didn't catch because my attention was caught somewhere else.
Against the side of one of the walls of the music room stood Ben watching cautiously. When he saw me looking at him he smirked and walked behind the building causally.
"I'm sure you won't forget tomorrow. Or maybe you can just borrow one of my old pairs. Of course it would off season which isn't the best, right Cici?"
I turned back to my two friends and stopped in the middle of the walk.
"I'll catch up with you guys at the lunch hall. I just realized I forgot my makeup bag during choir this morning."
"Oh God Cici. Prey Ms. Dean didn't take your stuff. She can sell all that makeup and gain a check worth more than what she gets as a teacher I'm sure." Jess calculated with a laugh. I ignored the comment and gave a short wave before turning for the music building. Walking behind the back, at first I thought I had found the back of the music building empty until I looked up.
"Where the actual fuck did you get those glasses from?" Ben asked from up above. He was sitting on the lowest part of the roof to the music studio. How he got up there I was clueless about. I took a step closer to the building, while taking off the stupid glasses.
"Mom bought them for me. They are from the newest collection..." I replied, grinning as I saw the look of disgust on Ben's face.
"Why would you ever waste money on those monstrous things when you have many other pairs at home?" My grin turned into a small smile as I looked back up from my glasses and onto Ben.
