I get a notification on my phone that my boyfriend Matt has messaged me, I smile and open the message

Matt: I think we should break up.

my smile turns into a frown, we've been together for three years and he breaks up with me through a text, wow.

Me: Okay.

Matt: I'm sorry.

I don't respond to his message instead I put my phone in my pocket and walk to my best friends house. I soon get there and knock on the door, the door soon opens to a smiling Luke, I smile and say "hey" he lets me in and we sit on the couch and he says "what's up?" I look at him and say "Matt broke up with me" he looks at me shocked and says "what did he say?" I get my phone and say "more like what did he type" I pass the phone to him and he shakes his head before saying "what an idiot, he didn't deserve you" I smile and say "thanks Luke" as I put my phone back in my pocket, I smile and say "so, how are the guys?" He says "they're okay" I smile again and say "I need to see them all again, it's been so long" he nods and says "yeah, I can't remember the last time we all hung out" I lean back into the couch and say "Luke, can I ask you something?" He leans back and says "yeah" I smile and say "is it bad I'm kinda happy Matt broke up with me?" He looks at me and says "no but why?" I shrug and say "I'm not sure, I'm jut not that sad about it" he nods and says "did you expect this to happen?" I nod and say "honesty, yeah, I'm not sure why but we were never really around each other, he never came round that much" he nods and says "well, maybe it was for the best" I nod and say "I think it was" he smirks before walking over to his record player and picking out a vinyl, I look at him and say "what are you doing?" He smiles and says "I'm just putting the best album on" I soon hear the beginning to Youngblood, I shake my head and say "wow" he laughs and says "it's a good album, isn't it" I roll my eyes and walk over to him, I smile and say "why am I friends with you?" He laughs and says "because you love me" I laugh, oh if only you knew. After half an hour I decide I should go home since it's almost 8PM, I smile at Luke and say "I'm gonna go now" he nods and says "okay" I go to leave but he says "wait, can I tell you something?" I walk back over to him and say "yeah" he looks down and says "so, now probably isn't the best time to tell you but I never got chance to before. Y/N we've been friends for five years nearly six and I don't wanna ruin this but this is something I can't hide anymore, Y/N I love you" I look at him unable to say anything, I can't believe he likes me back, I smile and say "I love you too Luke" he smiles and pulls me into a hug, I move away after a few seconds and say "I'll see you tomorrow" he smiles and says "okay" I leave his house and walk home not being able to stop smiling.
