Silas groaned wanting nothing more than to slam his head into his desk. Sitting through a history class listening to things he'd seen first hand was annoying enough. Hearing the old fart of a professor telling everyone complete bull was even worse. Silas groaned again a bit louder. Feeling a tap on his shoulder he turned. "What?" He grumbled miserably.
Luke smiled and whispered quietly to him. "Dude you're gonna get in trouble. Stop groaning so loud. You sound like a bear trying to mate with a goat." Silas rolled his eyes but stopped groaning, aloud that is. This sucks... He thought to himself. "And then Siegfried of the Vikings commanded the attack. He and the other Vikings pillaged and raided everything in their path. Leaving no survivors to tell of their deeds." The professor turned from the whiteboard. Raising an eyebrow at the kid in front who was asleep.
"Now is there any questions?" He asked ignoring him, scanning the other students. No one answered or raised a hand. The professor's gaze fell onto Silas. "Mr. Smith. You were awfully talkative earlier. Although I couldn't understand a word of it. Do you have a question?" He asked with a sneer. Silas eyed him, wishing he could slam his head into the far wall but knew he couldn't. Instead lowered his gaze mumbling. "No Professor Freeman it's just.."
Professor Freeman's eyes narrowed. "Speak up Mr. Smith. You will speak clearly while in my classroom." He commanded sharply. Silas clinched his teeth tightly, trying not to let the man get to him. Knowing full well that's just what he wanted. "I was just feeling sick sir." He said looking at the man with a deathly gaze. Professor Freeman smiled darkly at him. "Is that so? Perhaps you would like to see the nurse then?" Silas clinched his teeth harder and shook his head slightly.
"No? Well all right then." Professor Freeman scoffed with a huff. The bell rang and the kids immediately started putting their things away. "Tomorrow you'll be writing about what I've lectured on today. I hope some of you have taken notes are payed close attention attention." He paused, eyeing Silas in particular. "Class dismissed." He said with a wave of his hand as he sat down at his desk.
Kids got up instantaneously, starting to stream out of the classroom like a river. "Dang man. Why does he hate you so much? Did you have a date with his mother or something?" Luke asked, slipping his bag over one shoulder. Silas shook his head zipping up his own bag. His brow furrowed in thought.
"I dunno bro. He probably just hates the fact I don't need him to pass the class." Luke laughed and grabbed his shoulder leading him out of the classroom. "I'd tell you you're cocky. But you're right. You're acing his class. Easily." Luke frowned and stopped for a moment. His eyes squinting at him with mock suspicion. "You're not cheating are you?" Silas looked at him in surprise. "You think I'd cheat? Really? In history class?"
Luke shook his head, a smile breaking onto his face. "Nah I was just checking. Cause if you were I'd blackmail you for your source's name." Silas smiled a bit then went straight faced. "You're a terrible person. You know that? A real friend wouldn't blackmail their friend for information." He said with not a hint of laughter in his voice. "You're just sour because I can get all the ladies." Luke replied with a wink. A group of girls passed by them and Luke's eyes widened.
"Speak of the devil here's the opportunity I've been waiting for." He said slicking his hair back with a hand dramatically. He bumped Silas' arm and sped up to catch up to the group. "Just watch and learn!" He called back over his shoulder. Silas grinned and watched for a moment. Luke leaned against a locker and started making big arm motions. The girls seemed more or less interested in what he was saying. One even laughed, a hand covering her mouth.
Well good for him. Silas thought allowing himself a small smile. He opened his locker going through some of his books and papers. A few minutes passed after he had found the ones he thought he needed, he slipped them into his bag and shut his locker door. Silas zipped up his bag and slipped it back on with a small grunt. The heavy text books weighing it down.
