Silas had been following two boys for the last few hours. Trailing only a couple of yards or so behind them out of their earshot. He had seen them leave school together despite knowing for a fact they hated one another and decided he couldn't ignore his friend's story about them any longer. He took a few steps forward at the same they pace they took their own, matching them as best he could. The soft white snow helping to muffle his footsteps. Street lamps flickered weakly along the sidewalk, the only form of illumination in the dimly lit night.

The two boys were whispering to each other, just quiet enough so he couldn't make out what they were saying. Silas knew had to change that to learn anything from them. He took a few extra steps forward and hid behind the side of a building peeking around. "I don't like this body." One of the boys complained to the other. "It's too flabby. And it gets weak all of the time. A squirrel would have been a better thing to possess."

"You're lucky to even get a body fool, don't complain so much." The other grumbled and slapped the back of the first's head. The one who had been slapped stumbled forward and cast a deathly glare at the other. The boy who slapped him smirking without any remorse. "I'm not complaining I'm just saying that I should've chosen a better body to possess." The first said dangerously quiet. The other simply laughed darkly and shook his head, a large frown forming on his face. Silas cursed his luck as his fears were confirmed from the boy's words. Demoniacos.. he muttered to himself. The Possessed Ones..

Silas moved a tad bit closer to the two demons and ducked behind a car parked in the street a few feet away from them. "Are you getting at something Harsbak?" The second boy hissed at the other. "Are you assimilating that I am Jarskac?" The first growled, his eyes starting to glow a bright shade of red. The first boy chuckled darkly and nodded. "I believe I am indeed. Not that common filth like you would do anything about it."

The demon the other had called Harsbak narrowed his glowing eyes and bared his hidden fangs. The teeth gleaming in the dim streetlight. "Cocky words for a Minimum genus daemonium such as yoursel-" The demon never got to finish his taunt as the other, Jarskac, blasted him with a burst of white hot fire from his hands. Harsbak screamed and howled with pain as his human host was burned. Jarskac continued to incinerate him until nothing but ashes remained.

Jarskac chuckled and stopped the fire, rubbing his hands together. He scattered the ashes of his fellow demon with a shoe. "Foolish Harsbak... you forget that rank means nothing. Only power does." He paused after speaking and sniffed the air slowly turning towards the car Silas currently was hidden behind. Silas ducked back down behind the car breathing quickly. He can smell me? That's not supposed to be possible... has my magic really become that weak?

The demon took a step towards the car he was hiding behind, the snow crunching heavily beneath his foot. "Come out little angel. I know you're there." He hissed. "If you had wanted me not to know you were following us. You should have been much more cautious..." Silas felt his mind race, trying to think of a plan. He looked around for anything helpful. Lamp posts... nope.. All I have is this car... Wait.. The car! He grinned as his quick plan formed together.

"Umm hey Mr. Demon! Jarskac wasn't it? I'm not really in the mood to fight you right now... Could you call me in like a week and we can schedule an appointment? I'll even give you my cell number." Silas paused then quickly added as an afterthought. "Oh and could you refrain from calling me 'little angel'? I'm actually average height thanks!" He called from his hiding spot.

The demon hissed in reply and Silas saw the glow of fire to his left casting shadows in the snow. "Frick!" He yelped and hit the dirt as a ball of fire engulfed the car he had been hiding behind. The demon possessed boy appeared to be glowing. His veins glowing a fiery red with the fire coursing through him. Silas sighed quietly knowing the boy was too far gone to save. But he can still be avenged... Silas thought bitterly.
