She was alone and then she wasn't.
He was alone and because of her he wasn't.
He had a family but lost them.
She had a family and like him lost them.
Two became friends as closest...

When Hide and alongside her Kakashi, stepped back onto the training ground they originally started on, Hide zeroed in on the blond boy tied to one of the post. He appeared to be grumbling to himself, kicking outward as if that would release the rope that kept him confined. In front of him were three bento boxes which were unopened, taunted him.
"So he ditched me...for food?" Hide thought out loud.
"Appears so." Kakashi answered her rhetorical question. The girl jumped somewhat. She had forgotten that the man stood next to her given his quiet demeanor.
She didn't say anything as she sat down next to Naruto on his right though she did manage to look into his eyes but one second was all it took for him to look away with a pout. Their sensei stood in front of them, a distance between the two. No one said anything as they awaited for the missing members to arrive.
Hide's ears picked up the rustling of bushes before out popped the Uchiha and Haruno. Sasuke looked agitated walking towards them with the pinkette casting sad eyes at the boy. Sasuke took a seat next to Hide while Sakura occupied the empty spot on Naruto's left side.
The sound of stomach's rumbling was the only noise heard.
"Uh-oh stomachs growing huh, that's too bad...oh by the way this exercise-" Kakashi raised a finger up, the genin's attention focused solely on the man.
"Well I've decided I won't send any of you back to the academy." Their sensei's words send all kinds of shocks to each of the genin. Naruto cheered his feet dangling as he tried to raise his arms up in triumph. Hide sat glued to her spot, eyes wide with clear surprise written in them. Sakura remained still for a moment before she stood and jumped happily up and down. Sasuke was the only one of the four who remained stoic as ever but the small gleam in his onyx eyes showed the ounce of happiness.
"Then then, then that means the four of us-"
"Yes all four of you are being dropped from the program."
The pinkette and blond stopped their cries of triumph instead the mouths of the three were parted with shock.
"Drop us from the program! That means we can never become ninja! You said if we couldn't take the bells we'd be send back to the academy you can't just change your mind and kick us out; why would you do that!" Naruto's flailing and loud yells didn't shake Hide's slumped form as she stared at the man in disbelief. His warnings before they started didn't seem as bad but now, the realization slowly started to make its way in her head.
"Because you don't think like ninja you think like little kids, like brats." The jōnin's insults send Sasuke over the edge he was already on. He let out a grunt before charging towards the silver haired man. Sakura's pleas for the boy to stop did nothing but push him forward.
