Harry Styles

It was pouring, down falling and windy. I was screaming Mariah's name over and over again, trying to make my voice heard from over the rain but I could barely hear myself at this point. I've been searching for forty five minutes and I was becoming very nervous.

"Mariah!" I screamed at the top of my lungs as the sound of thunder roared. I was drenched from head to toe, my hair sticking to my forehead.

I was shining the flashlight around every part of the perimeter, hoping to see at least a glimpse of her, anything. I don't even know if I was going into the right direction, I could be getting further from her for all I know.

A loud jolt of thunder felt like it made the ground shake a bit. And when I saw a bright flash, I looked up and caught a strike of lightning hit a tall tree from afar. It was a good distance from me, but that tree came toppling down and whacking a few trees with it before it hit the ground.

When I heard the loud pitch screaming shortly after the tree fell, my heart started to race. It was a female scream, and it sounded far but still close enough.

"Mariah!" I instantly shouted and ran towards the lighting struck tree about five hundred meters ahead of me.

I sprinted through the forest, hopping over trunks and branches while my instinct took me to the place where the lightning struck. My feet were on auto pilot as I ran though the trees until I came to the one that was completely on the ground, smoking at the top from the lighting.

"Mariah?" I shine my flashlight around the premises to see if she was there but I heard nothing.

I shined my flashlight up at the trees around the one that fell, instantly seeing how one was slanted and leaning hardcore as I guess it was knocked from the tree next to it after the lightning struck.

But when I looked harder, I realized high up in that tree was Mariah, sitting on a branch a couple stories up while hugging the tree trunk.

"Mariah!" I shined the light on her, relieved I found her. How the fuck did she get so high up there?

"Go away! Please don't hurt me!" She screamed in horror at the sight of me. She was really high up there, and if she fell then she'd be very hurt.

"Mariah please come down! I won't hurt you! You need to let me explain!" I yell over the sounds of the rain.

"You're lying!" She shakes her head while standing soaking wet up in a tall tree, shaking from the cold.

"Mariah it's not safe being up there! That tree will fall!" I shout.

"Go away please!" She screams a plead, looking terrified of me.

"I know I lied to you and I'm sorry! But you have to believe me when I said I wouldn't hurt you! I promise!"

"You said you wouldn't hurt Gene but you killed her! You're a murderer!" She screamed.

"I know! I'm not a good guy and I know I shouldn't of did what I did but you have to understand tha-"

Suddenly the branch she was sitting on started to snap, making her scream as it slowly started to break. She hugged the tree trunk harder and pinched her eyes shut, knowing that she could possibly die from this fall if that branch breaks completely.

"Thomas!" She screamed in fear, even though she knew my name was Harry. Her anger turned into fear, and instead of trying to stay away from me, she knew I was her only chance of survival.
