Chapter 22: Mosquito Bite. And Other Bites

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" Everyone shouted ad soon as I entered the house.

The living room looked so pretty! It looked awesome! The fairy lights lit up the room. Big photos of mine had been put all around the room. Most of them had been clicked by Kabir at my old school programmes. Basketball, Fests, a picture of Zee, Tara and me as four year olds (we looked cute!) and many more. Gold and blue balloons were in all over the room, all across the floor. Many people were here. The entire Adams family except Mr.Adams, all my friends, both my grandmother's, a few close relatives, my best friend, my cousins, chachu and bibz, and my brothers, everybody was here.

"So, do you like it?" Tara asked me.

"Nope."

I could see her smile change into a sad face.

"I LOVE IT TARA!" I said.

She jumped up in joy.

"I knew you would love it!"

I hugged her tightly.

"Thanks sis. This means so much to me!" I said.

"Enough with the drama!" Aman said.

"We're hungry." Ally said.

"Cut the cake. It looks yummy." Nats said.

"I get the biggest piece." Austin said.

All of us laughed at the cute gesture of the five year olds.

"The cake is here!" Claire said holding a cake on her hand.

"OMG!" I cried seeing the fandom themed cake. "But Tara, did you go through my diary?"

The doodle on the cake was exactly the same as the ones I had drawn a few weeks ago.

"I didn't. It was all Kabir." Tara said.

"Please don't kill me." Kabir cried.

"Nah! I know you've read my diary a million times!" I said.

"How did you know?"

"I just know." I said.

I am never gonna reveal my secret of knowing everything about everybody....

"You seriously read all those books and watched all those TV series!" Veronica said.

"And you made a doodle!" Jesse said.

"Yup." I said.

My doodle had everything. Ranging from the logo of the house of Zor-El to The deathly Hallows.

"You can talk more later. Now, cut the cake. I really can't wait to give you your present."  Zee said.

"You guys are more excited on my birthday than I am." I said.

"Now cut the cake, Riya." Bhai said.

"Make a wish!" Rachel said as I was blowing out the candles.

They began singing happy birthday song as I cut the cake.

I took a piece and fed my family members one. That was a ritual in the family.

"Riya!" Kabir called  out from behind me.

Oh no! It was finally the time.

Wet substance famously known as chocolate icing had been rubbed on my face like a moisturizer. It started with Kabir and ended with the little ones.

"I surrender." I said.

I knew that the more I tried to resist, the more chocolate icing my skin would receive.
