The Pack

Prologue

Derek Hale wasn't so happy when he heard that a new pack was moving in. He wasn't happy at all, he didn't care if the pack had gone through a lot, he didn't feel good with sharing his home and his history with some teenagers that were in the wrong moment at the wrong time.

Talia, his mother and his Alpha, told him that that small pack had gone through a lot, that they deserved some peace and rest after all. As a mother, she asked him to behave and be nice, to try and see them as his pack members and as his Alpha, she asked him to do the right thing and be nice with them.

Laura, his older sister was always the example. She was eager to meet the new pack and teach them everything she could, she was very happy and welcoming and Talia loved it.

Cora, Derek's baby sister just by a few years was more of an outsider but she didn't complain about the new arrivals. Mostly because she never said something, she only stared and left if possible. It wasn't the best but Talia accepted.

The rest of his family was welcoming even his uncle Peter that never talked and didn't like outsiders, he was quite happy that the new pack was joining theirs. But he was happy because it would make them more powerful. It was said that two of them were extremely powerful but still hadn't tap in their maximum power.

Derek met them both. Scott McCall and Stiles Stilinski. They were quite a duo, he heard and saw.

Scott McCall was very serious around him, the boy had scars all around his face, he usually wore long pants and long sleeve shirts, he never smiled at the Hale's pack but seemed goofy with his own. He looked tired most of the time and doze off to be woken up. He was a werewolf that got bitten by accident, since then he promised to never bite someone and ruin their lives as that wolf did.

Stiles Stilinski was his other half, there was no question of it. He was a Kitsune that got possessed by a Nogitsune but didn't talk about it often. He was the most animated and goofy person that Derek ever met, he always tried to find a plan, he was a very smart kid and also the son of the Sheriff, he usually spent his day laughing and waking up Scott. He took care of his Alpha.

Derek also met the rest of the pack, one of the things that impressed him was that Scott only bit Liam Dunbar to save his life, all the others were his friends that decided to join him. Willingly.

There was Isaac Lahey, an abused kid that left his home after his dad almost killed him and joined Scott's pack. He was bitten by the same werewolf as Scott. He was shy, very shy and was always in a defense position, he wore scarfs always even if it was 98° degrees, he never talked and if he did, he talked with a very quiet voice. He hated small spaces and being alone. For that, there was someone with him always.

There was Liam Dunbar, he was an agressive kid but was working on his anger. He said that Scott saved his life when a Wendigo was going to kill him but in order to save him, Scott had to bite him. He trusted Scott with his life and was the puppy of the pack, Stiles teased him about it very often. Liam was always next to Isaac to calm him down when he slept. And in thanks, Isaac taught him to control his anger.

Lydia Martin wasn't a werewolf. She was a Banshee, she had a very powerful gift but didn't want to fully use it. She was very smart and very loyal as well, she was the mother of the pack and the 'sister' of Scott and Stiles. She and Stiles were the ones that took care of Scott when he was tired. She had a sarcastic humor but she was so smart that she learnt Latin. The only one smarter than her was Stiles and he joked about it.

Jackson Whittemore was the jerk of the pack. He was a Kanima that used to kill people because he was used. He was one of the first to join Scott after he saved him and gave him a second chance. He was cocky, sportive and very competitive, he did not know how to lose and was very stubborn. He always questionned Scott's decisions but stayed with him. He had a crush on Lydia but then he discovered he was gay. He was useful with is big tail, and sometimes he was not so much of a jerk.

Ethan Steiner was an omega werewolf from another pack that challenged the McCall pack. He had a twin brother named Aiden but he didn't talk about him much, he tried not to. Mostly because if Scott was around, he would leave the room while he reeked of anger and sadness. Ethan was very useful when it came to battles, he liked to brag about how many fights he had won, he was Jackson's mate. He calmed the Kanima when necessary. He never questionned the actions of his Alpha, he protected Jackson too much.

There was also Theo Raeken, a chimera. He never talked, he never said hello or goodbye. He just stared and left it possible, he always eyed Derek and his family but never said a word. Stiles said that he was shady sometimes but in the end, he had his heart. Scott said he was a complicated kid that was from a complicated family. But that boy gave Derek weird vibes and decided that it was best to leave him alone.

All in all, Derek knew that the pack was a quite different and interesting pack. But he had his eyes on one more interesting. Stiles.

The hyperactive and cunning fox attracted something in Derek's mind. And Stiles knew it well, he knew it very well and loved teasing him about it. Derek wanted to know more about the fox but Scott never made it possible.

And Derek understood that he had to win over the Alpha to know better the fox but how to get along when you don't even want them? Derek was about to find out. And maybe, he'll understand that even if he doesn't like it, they're a pack.
