"Do I really have to be there?" Derek whined as if he a five years old kid again in his walk home with his big sister Laura.

"Yeah, you do. Is the first dinner as a whole pack." She answered.

"You know what while their Alpha doesn't give in, they won't be in our pack. It's common sense, Laura." Derek pointed out.

"We know that, Derek. Thanks for reminding us again."

"I don't get it. Well, I don't get him."

Laura rolled her eyes. "What you don't get of him?"

"He is giving us his pack but doesn't want to let go of it. He knows that there can't be two Alphas around in the same pack, it would break the balance."

"They had gone through a lot, Derek. He has gone through a lot with them, it can't be easy to just let go of the pack and your rank." Laura tried to reason with him.

"He should had thought of that before he gave us his little pack." Derek mumbled under his breath and no one said nothing after that comment.

It was simple for Derek, if they didn't like him, he wouldn't like them. Maybe Derek hadn't tried to be nice to them but it wasn't like they were nice to him. Maybe some people here but it was Stiles who talked to him the most, but it never lasted. He was always pulled by Scott that never said nothing.

Derek hated that guy. He was a True Alpha and had more power than anyone in his pack but never used it, Derek was half convinced that he wanted to kill his mother to be the Alpha of the Hale pack. But his mother said it was just a dumb and stupid idea and he would never do it. But Derek always had his eyes for the lookout.

The Hale pack was the one of the most respectful, powerful and safe packs in the whole state of California. It was almost treated like royalty by some. And Derek didn't like that some teenagers kids where going to be part of such big pack.

Arriving at his house, Laura sighed and turned to see her little brother. "Be nice for once or be like Cora, she doesn't say nothing bad and she's polite. Get that through your stubborn head that those kids are now part of our family."

Derek nodded without any comment and opened the door to be hit by the smell of beef and vegetables, he did not want to admit it but it made his stomach grumble. He walked to the kitchen where his mother, Stiles and Lydia were cooking. At the sight of Derek, Stiles's eyes glew with mischief.

"Hello, Sourwolf, how is your day?" He greeted with the nickname that Derek told him not to use.

Derek answered with a quick groan before sitting down in one of the kitchen's chairs. He played with his fingers hoping one of the trio would start a conversation.

"Did you told Deaton about the dinner?" Talia, his mother asked while cutting the carrots.

"Yeah, he said he will be there to meet the new pack and do all the tradional things and try to talk with Scott McCall." Derek answered.

Stiles barked a laugh. "I'm afraid that emissary will have to do more than just 'talk' with Scott. He's as stubborn as they come."

"Well, then will have to kick him out. Or even chase him out." Derek grumbled.

"Derek, behave!" Talia warned him.

"Don't worry, Talia, it's okay, we understand that it will take time to get used to us." Lydia commented while seasoning the meat.

"I'm just saying, if he wants to be part of the pack, he needs to give in an accept that my mother is the Alpha. If he can't, there's no place in here for him."
