Chapter 7: Hunt & Winning.

4 years ago...

"What are you doing here, all alone in the full moon?" Ennis asked, looking directly at the teenager.

"N-nothing that you should know." Scott stuttered and prayed that Stiles ran away.

"Oh, is that so? Well, now you know that your father needs to know about this." Ennis then stopped and sniffed the air. "Where's your best friend? The Kitsune?"

Scott tensed up at the mention of Stiles and his face hardened. "Nowhere around here, Ennis. He's with his father or in his house."

"Oh, that's too bad, I wanted him to be with you." Ennis started to caress Scott's face with his claws. "He is not protected, so I could actually kill the little shit. No one needs a hyperactive fox anyways."

Stiles saw from the bushes how something changed in Scott when Ennis said that. His heart was still beating a hundred miler per hour but instead of shaking like he used to, he looked pissed at Ennis and was not afraid to show it.

"Touch him and that's the last thing you'll ever do." He warned him with a sudden venom in his voice.

"What can a human do?"

Scott took off his hand roughly. "A lot if you know how to piss it off."

Ennis laughed. "Are you going to kill me?" Then he knelt as if he was injured. "Oh, please don't kill me!"

Scott gave a quick look to the bushes and saw Stiles listening to their conversation. 'Go away and run!' He mouthed quick before turning his attention towards Ennis again.

"Bah, you're a stupid kid with a death wish and you're human. But we can change that." He gave a horrible smirk and looked at Scott's neck.

"Probably." Scott shrugged. "But I won't let you touch my friend or his family."

Ennis had enough. He loved playing with the prey but he was starting to get annoyed by that kid. Without any hesitation, he punched him hard, knocking him out.

"What the hell was that for?!" Scott yelled, he could feel the blood dripping from his head and he was very dizzy.

"That's a warning. You can't beat me and you will never. But by all means, try to make me bleed before I go to the hospital and end your mother's miserable life and then I kill the sheriff and his fox." Ennis decided to provoke the young teenager.

And Scott was angry, for one second his eyes shone. Ennis and Stiles would never find another conversation topic than the time when Scott McCall's eyes shone a bright, crimson red as a human.

Scott charged towards Ennis but this one easily dodged it and hit Scott on the back. Then while Scott was on the floor, he took him by the collar of his shirt and threw it to a tree.

"Remember that, boy, you'll never beat me in a fight. Not even as a werewolf, not even as an Alpha!"

Present time...

The phone rang interrupting Stiles's story. Everyone looked at Lydia who was the one close to the phone, without hesitation, she took it and answered it. Everyone was waiting for her and on one talked.

"Why didn't you run?" Cora asked.

Stiles shrugged. "Ennis is known for being cruel and heartless. All the time I knew him, he had a drive to end his enemies's lives. I knew that if I ran away, he would had killed Scott. I had to help him."
