Five years after...

"What in the goddamn Hell were you thinking?!" Stiles Stilinski yelled while pacing around the couch.

Jack Douglas looked down. He was a sixteen-years-old who happened to be a werewolf. Liam Dunbar's first bitten Beta. Jack almost got himself killed when trying to take down a experience werewolf named Isaac. Stiles saved him and got him into the pack, but Jack wasn't done. And last night, he got himself captured and if it wasn't for Theo, he would be dead.

"Going out there thinking that you stood a chance verus Liam!" Stiles kept exclaiming. "You should thank Theo for saving yours and our lives!"

Jack snapped out of his self-pity. "I already told you, I could had won, only if you let me."

Stiles growled, his eyes shone a faint red. "Let you?! Let you try to take down a experienced and dangerous werewolf! Are you crazy?!"

"He ruined my life! He made me a monster, something I never asked for!"

"Understand this, Jack." Stiles growled. "We all didn't have a choice, nor we have one right now. But we aren't moaning and groaning about it!"

Jack rolled his eyes. "You're really a bad Alpha." He muttered under his breath.

"I can hear you just fine, Douglas. Thanks for sharing your opinion."

"You needed to hear it from someone! Liam talked about his time in this pack."

"Oh and you'll listen to a traumatized Alpha?!" Stiles sat down.

Jack was about to say something but then sighed, looking down. "I just want to know why I'm thrown into this... whole mess. One minute I'm playing with my best friend and the second, I'm getting saved by a blue-eyed werewolf."

Stiles sighed. "Let me be straight to you here and now, you didn't deserve this." He looked to the young werewolf. "Liam did wrong by turning you and this war isn't yours to fight but life's not fair and now, you'll have to fight it."

"Seems like you talk from experience."

Stiles barked a laugh. "Kid, I'm twenty-five. If I live long enough, next year will be my good, whole decade in this supernatural business. I fought wars that weren't even wars to begin with."

Jack's mouth was wide open. "You've been an Alpha for near ten years?!"

Stiles's spark died down at those words. He frowned and looked down. "No, no. I just been an Alpha for five. There was another Alpha before me."

"Did you know him?"

Stiles cleared his throat. "I had a friend." He began. "His name was Scott and he was like you. He got turned by a psychotic, traumatized Alpha who didn't have any interest in taking him in. And just like you, he blamed all his problems and all his misery to him."

"I met him back when we were four, I peed on his sand castle and since then, we stayed friends. We were as close as one could be, our parents used to call us brothers. And I loved him like a brother. We cared about each other like brothers do. When my mother died, he was there for me and when his father left, I was there for him."

Jack looked at the frowning Alpha, he had a feeling about the ending of the story. "Kind of like me and Micheal."

Stiles nodded. "Yeah, kind of. Anyways, Scott was a lot like you, and there was a time when Liam was a lot like him. Scott was as selfless as one could be, he was kind and gave everyone a second and even a third chance. But he had the worst luck ever, he fell in love with a huntress who died soon afterwards, he got into wars that weren't his, etc."
