He had been worse situations. He had been in that chair many, many times, and sometimes he was the one who was in front. He wasn't afraid, he wasn't quivering with fear nor he was surprised. For him, those 'things' were just some oversize dogs who wouldn't do shit to him.

They took off the mask whom blocked Rapp's view roughly. And he had to blink a few times to get used to such light, when he finally adapted to it, he decided to scan his surroundings. He was in a warehouse, an abandoned warehouse with such foul odor.

He was tempted to puke, but knew it would only make it all worst. He tilted his head to the side and began planning. No one was going to save him and even if someone did, it would be too late. He needed to get out of there but he needed to bring information to his nephew, sadly he would have to hold.

"Mitch 'Iron Man' Rapp." A sudden voice said. "A man who lost everything and yet, he got everything he ever wished."

Rapp looked at the direction of the voice, the light had its limit and wherever the voice was, it could not be seen. "Not everything, though." He answered.

"Ah, yes. You didn't find those who were behind the Pan Am Lockerbie attack, the same attack that brought you into the other side of life."

Rapp scoffed. "I'm sorry, is this little chat supposed to make me quiver with fear? Because, buddy I been worse."

The voice growled. "I see, you still have guts. After everything that has happen, you still cheat Death."

Rapp was tied to a dirty chair, he couldn't do anything than shrug. "What do you want with me? I'm not going to say anything to you. Years of training and duty have been drilled on my mind."

"No, we know." The voice pointed out. "You are way too good for that, we would be wasting our and your time. And sadly, we don't have leverage to use."

"Then why keep me here?"

Coby, a young werewolf came into the light. He was about twenty-five and was 6 feet tall, big and pure muscle. He had a thick black mane of hair, his eyes were gray and had a goatee. He wore a black shirt and some leather. His teeth were sharp and his eyes were pure red.

"Because you'll be our lab rat."

Rapp knew something was about to happen, and he needed an escape plan soon. If not, he would become whatever those oversize dogs wanted.

"Actually, I'm usually the one in the field. I let all the other things to the docs but thanks for the offer."

Coby laughed. "You afraid of something, Mr. Rapp? Something that you been trying to ignore for years?"

Rapp began to squirm, he didn't like where the conversation was going. "I think we all are afraid of something in life, it's just than some hide it better than others."

"Indeed, Mr. Rapp. Now you see, there's people like you that hide it perfectly and there's people like your nephew and his best friend." Coby looked directly at the man. "They want to hide it but they can't."

"Talk about my nephew and I'll bite your head off." Rapp snarled and yanked the chains that trapped him.

Coby wasn't surprised by the reaction of the assassin. Coby knew that Rapp knew he wasn't going out there alive and it made him happy, to know he chose the right man.

"Your friends or allies, whatever you wish to call them, used magic to heal and help the son of my Alpha. Now, we think about that as cheating."

Rapp scoffed one more time. "I think you didn't specify the rules that night, that's on you."

Coby agreed. "Yes, it was. So now, we are going to specify the named rules." He came close, Rapp could smell the metallic from the blood dripping from its fangs. "If they use magic, we'll use magic."

Rapp decided to buy more time, in case he got out of there alive. "And I will be your first try? Not gonna lie, I'm kind of honored because you chose me."

"Don't let it go into your head, Mr. Rapp. You're the best, alright but there will always be someone better than you. Just like there was someone better than Stan Hurley."

Rapp pulled from his chains, moving the chair so slightly but he was red. "You don't that name. You don't deserve--you are not worthy of naming him! He would have you killed."

"But he's dead, Mr. Rapp. Long ago, in fact. If there's an afterlife, he's looking down at you, probably in pity and disgust."

Rapp knew what the man was trying to do, he wanted to make him angry, to make him lost any last straw of sanity left and then obtain information out of him. He had been tortured many times in his life but this time was different, Coby seemed to know way more about him than those stupid terrorist and corrupt goverments.

Coby regained his posture and approached a silver plate which contain a syringe with what appeared black goo and other shit. He took it in his hand, and then let it rest in the same plate. "Want to know what is this?"

Rapp nodded.

"Is magic and science together, Mr. Rapp. We have such a good friend of a doctor, just like your friend Dr. Lewis, and well, our friend helped us obtain the middle ground between the impossible and the possible."

Rapp ignored the comment about his friend. "Oh, I'm sorry I do not know what the fuck you just talked about, I'm just a man."

Coby chuckled. "This is called 'The Darkness' an old spell that was used in the ancient times, for tortured and things no one would ever want to know. Why does it have such name?"

Rapp shrugged. "Beats me."

"Because this brings the person's true colors. It brings its pain, grief, loss, anger, hate, its darkest desires, nightmares. It brings the worst fears and makes them reality."

Rapp finally knew what was going on. His heart dropped.

"Oh, fuck."

Coby smiled wickedly and grabbed the needle, he got closer and closer to Rapp until he was just one inch away from sticking the needle right into Rapp's arms.

"Last words before you face your true and deepest fears?"

Rapp didn't flinched at those words, he was just getting possessed not killed, even if he wanted to be killed than possessed. He looked at the bloodthristy oversize dog and spit on his face.

"Fuck you."

Coby injected the black goo into Rapp's system.
