Run pt3

When we ran out I noticed that we had exited to a different place all together . The layout of the tunnel had changed .

"Do you know the way ?", Doj asked Sab.

Sab shrugged . She was strangely calm .

"I think we are near the exit , the one leads towards the Tower . Look the walls are made of stone now .",I said .

"Miss do you know of the weapon that can supposedly be used against J ? Where do we find it ?" , Doj asked . Sab was surprised for a moment then she gave us a pitying smile . There was no weapon afterall ? Was it a trap all along ? I thought losing all hope.

"There is a weapon that can annihilate her completely . However you can't find 'it' " .,Sab said amused. Mr Doj grew impatient . We continued running towards a trisection.

"It's not a thing ", she said sighing as she looked at Mr Doj's worried eyes . Suddenly we heard footsteps from the right most tunnel . The footsteps were approaching us at a faster rate now . "Ok we are ..",Mr Doj began as the light above us burst . I gave a small shriek . The guards had entered the tunnel we were in.

Then it went pitch black . All the lights were out.

There was a tense pause. Then the yelling began. Clearly the Guard had reached us.

It was madness in the dark.

Somebody bumped into me . I stumbled and hit the wall hurting my arm in the process . Something poked my thighs . I could feel a person walking away . Was it Sab ? . Then there were more footsteps and the noise echoed everywhere .The yelling and the huffin-puffin continued.

"Come on !",a voice whispered suddenly in my ear . Beta ? I thought. Where had he come from ? . He took me by the elbow . As we ran I could hear the sounds fading away . We ran blindly in the dark for a while.

"What are you doing ?!",I whispered rather loudly  as I began to clear mself. Beta didn't reply . I stopped in my tracks and he stopped too .

"Look here I am not going to abandon them like you", I said .

"Miss Ally I am not abandoning anybody ",Beta said calmly though I could hear a hint of impatience and fear in his voice . I imagined his face, his eyes to be more specific(well he wore a mask ) . They were a shade of blue too just like Miss Right , Doj and so many other Masked . But why did it feel like his eyes would have looked guilty if the light had been on . I felt claustrophobic suddenly and the darkness added to my discomfort . We had ran away from others . We were separated .

Why can't these lights come on ! I thought stressed . Then as if it heard my thoughts the nearest light lit on . Then one by one the light started to switch on, illuminating our path . I was slightly relieved . But my relief didn't last for long . The next moment we heard distant gunshots . I could hear a distant scream that very much sounded like it would have belonged to a certain coffee addict . "We have to help .. " , I began but Beta cut me off . He grabbed my arm and started running.

"We can't go back now . They are either dead or captured . Lets hope for the latter ,then we can ask for help once we get out and launch a rescue mission . "

I was not going to have this guy bossing me around now. I wanted a say in this too.

 "Look here Beta ", I began angrily as I slowed my run into a jog . Then many things happened at once Beta's blue eyes widened . He pulled me towards his back . The next moment I heard a gunshot . I could feel something spray into my face . I turned back . Two men had their guns trained on me . Beta had slumped at my feet . A bullet hole right through his forehead . The thing that sprayed on me was his blood I realised in horror . Then I started to scream . The lights started to flicker . I looked down at Beta's body . His eyes gazed back at me blankly .

"Out ! I have to get out of here . ",I thought loudly feeling suffocated.

The Guards were approaching me slowly. They had not shot me . Yet.

I took a step back and nearly stepped on Beta's hand . "Out of here Now! ,"my mind screamed at me . My body didn't need to be told twice . I turned and ran.  Guess who is abandoning who now ? My mind taunted . Not now I spoke to myself loudly .At the same moment the lights flickered off . The guards yelled in surprise as the tunnel began to shake . I stumbled . Then I heard it The tunnel caving in behind me . Dust rose everywhere and I fell face first.
