--Dinner with Simon--

*Taylor's POV*

*Later that night*

"Hey how was your dad?" I asked Ally once she walked into the basement on Greg Horan's house.

"Not good. He refused to eat anything I gave him. He wouldn't even look at me. Every time I went over to the side he was facing, he would change his position so he wasn't facing me." Ally explained.

"Same." Taylor, Emma, Marissa, and I all said in unison.

"Do you think that it had something to do with us coming home late?" Emma asked.

"I don't know. My dad doesn't know when I come and go. I barely even go into his room." Darcy states.

"You do know you can't pretend like he's not there forever, right?" Ally states.

"First of all, I don't do that all of the time. I go in a couple of times to make sure he eats. But other than that I don't go in there at all. And second, I know I can't do that forever. But when he learns how to appreciate my accomplishments, then I'll learn that he still exists." Darcy replied.

"Whatever." Ally mumbled.

"So Emma, did you tell your uncle that Simon was coming to dinner?" Marissa asked.

"Well, I told him that you girls, plus a guest were coming over." Emma replied.

"So what you're saying is that you didn't actually let your uncle know who was actually coming over. You just let him know an extra guest was coming over besides us girls." I said trying to clarify the situation.

"Exactly." She replied with a smile.

"Well, this should go swimmingly." I said sarcastically.

"Whatever." Emma mumbled.

"Girls! Come and wash up! Dinner's almost ready!" We heard Greg yell down to us.

"Coming!" We all replied in unison.

*10 minutes later*

*At the dinner table*

"Are you sure this guest is still coming?" Greg asked for the thousandth time in 10 minutes.

So dinner has been ready for 5 or 10 minutes now and Simon is still nowhere to be found. He hasn't text nor called, which makes us wonder if he was actually serious about signing us.

"Yeah, they said they'd be here. Maybe they just got lost." Emma said as the doorbell rang.

"I think that's them." Marissa said excitedly.

"Why are you so excited?" Theo asked in confusion.

"You'll see." Marissa replied.

"Well, are you going to answer the door or just leave them outside all night?" Theo said sarcastically, staring at all five of us girls.

"I'll get it." I said before anyone else could.

I quickly got up and quickly made my way to the front door.

"Hey, sorry I'm late. I got lost on the way here." Simon said once I opened the front door.

"It's alright. Everyone's in the dining room." I told him, gesturing him to follow me.

"Hey, you guys remember Simon Cowell, right?" I said walking into the dining room, causing Greg and Theo to spit out the drinks they were just taking a sip of a couple of seconds before.
