--Working Things Out--

*Simon's POV

*In the Dressing Room*

It's been around twenty minutes since Greg and the girls left and no one has said anything yet. Paul, Niall's family, and I keep looking at each other, hoping that one of them would say something. But they didn't say anything.

"They hate us." Zayn breathed.

Guess I spoke to soon.

"They don't hate you." Paul replied.

"Yes they do. Taylor basically said it right to our faces." Zayn said finally looking at us straight in the eye.

I heard the boys haven't spoken or looked Paul or Greg in the eye since they've been here. So talking and looking us straight in the eye is major progress. Just sad it was under these circumstances that they had to make this progress.

"Well they're just frustrated." I stated.

"Frustrated about what?" Niall asked, also looking us straight in the eye.

I raised an eyebrow. Did he really just ask us that question right now? Did he just miss the entire argument he just had with his daughter? Did he just miss what Taylor and Darcy said before they left?

"Are you serious right now? Did you really just ask that question?" Theo asked his uncle.

"What?" Niall asked innocently.

"Did you just miss the entire argument you guys had with the girls? Did you miss what Taylor and Darcy said before they left with the rest of the girls?" Denise asked.

"They're frustrated about us wanting to take them home?" Harry asked in confusion, looking us in the eye.

"That's part of it." Niall's mother replied.

"What's the other part?" Louis asked, also looking us straight in the eye.

Paul threw his hands up in disbelief. Honestly, I'm in disbelief also. I can't believe they're asking these questions after the entire argument they just had with their daughters.

"Do we really  have to explain this to you?" Paul asked in annoyance.

They just stared at us.

"Obviously we do." Paul stated.

"Well, you already know that they're frustrated that you boys want to take them home. But they're frustrated because this is their dream and you boys just want to rip them from living it." Niall's father explained.

They continued to stare, so we continued to explain.

"This has been their dream for as long as they could remember. They loved everything about music and wanted to become part of the music industry since they were little." Denise explained.

"But they were afraid to tell you boys about their dream because they knew you boys wouldn't approve." Theo stated.

"How do they know if we would approve of their decision or not?" Liam said, but he didn't make eye contact with us.

I have been watching Liam since I met them in the dressing room earlier. He seems a bit off. I mean the boys all seem off and not themselves, but Liam seems worse than the others. I should make a mental note to talk to him later.

"Because you boys verbally expressed how much you didn't like the music industry. Heck, they would be listening to their music in their room while doing homework or something and you would go into their rooms and turn off their musing. They had to resort to listening to music through headphones." Theo explained.
