--The Surprise Guest Part 1--
*Greg's POV*
*Later that Day*
"What do you mean we can't do a surprise earlier than expected?" I said in disbelief.
"It's just not possible. And plus the girls are really looking forward to surprising them in New York. Why can't you just leave it at that?" Simon stated.
So after I eavesdropped on Theo and Emma earlier, I decided that I was going to meet with Simon to convince him to surprise the boys a little earlier than expected. But as you can tell, it is not going so well.
"Because, you didn't have to listen to your niece tell your son how uncomfortable she feels in he own home because she is feeling like she is lying to her own father, who she hasn't spoken a single word to in years." I ranted.
"I understand your frustration, but I don't think it is possible." Simon stated.
"And why not?" I asked in annoyance.
"Well to start, I feel uncomfortable even having this conversation without the girls present. I mean it is their fathers we're talking about. And they have their heart set on surprising them in New York." Simon explained.
"Well, how do the girls expect to get their fathers to New York if they haven't left their rooms in years?" I asked.
"Weren't you present in the meeting yesterday, they are going to figure it out." Simon told me.
"What if I have an idea on, not only how to get them to New York, but to also reunite with each other?" I told him, with a plan suddenly coming to mind.
"What are you talking about? The girls are going to reunite them in New York." Simon said in confusion.
"Well, we can still surprise the boys with their daughters being signed and what not. But I have a plan to reunite the boys in New York before the interview." I said while still not revealing my plan.
"Greg, what are you talking about. What plan?" Simon said, totally lost.
"I don't want to share the plan without the girls present. Dinner at my house at 6. All of the girls will be there. They always have dinner at my house." I stated while quickly exiting the office, leaving Simon totally confused and lost. I have to make a few calls.
*Emma's POV*
*Hours later*
So my day off was spent on the couch, watching TV with Theo. I think that it was a very productive day off if you ask me.
"Emma, sweetie, can you set the table. Your uncle is on his way back with the girls now." Aunt Denise told me as soon as I entered the kitchen.
I just nodded and grabbed the appropriate amount of plates.
"Oh yeah, Greg told me that two more plate settings need to be set." Aunt Denise said as I was about to exit the kitchen.
"For who?" I asked in confusion.
"I have no idea. He just said that he needed two more plate settings set at the table." Aunt Denise replied.
I just shrugged it off and grabbed two more plates before going into the dining room to set the table. I wonder who the guests are.
"We're here!" I heard Uncle Greg call from the front door.
"Hey Uncle Greg, who's are guests?" I asked curiously as he walked into the dining room.
"What guests?" Uncle Greg asked.
"Well, Aunt Denise is having me set two more plate settings. I was wondering who is coming over." I stated.
"Oh yeah, those guests." Uncle Greg said, suddenly remembering. Then he continued, "You'll see." He stated before leaving the room.
"What do you mean we'll see?" I called after him in confusion.
"What's up?" I heard Darcy say from behind me, making me jump slightly. I didn't hear her or the other girls walk in.
"Uncle Greg is having me set two more plate settings." I said as I finished setting the table.
"Well, whose the guests?" Marissa asked.
"That's what I'm still trying to figure out." I stated just as the doorbell rang.
"I GOT IT!" I yelled to Uncle Greg and Aunt Denise before running towards the front door, with the girls close behind.
As soon as I opened the door, it revealed one person I was half expecting, but still surprised to see.
"Simon?" The girls and I said in unison, with confusion clear in our voices.
"What are you doing here?" Ally asked.
"Greg sort of invited me." Simon stated.
"Invited you?" Taylor asked in confusion.
"Well, he more like stated that I was coming. He said he needed to share something, with not only me, but with you girls too." Simon admitted.
"But when did he tell you to come?" Marissa asked in confusion.
"It's a long story. I'd rather have Greg explain himself." Simon stated.
"Guys, who's at the door?" Uncle Greg said as he approached the front door.
"Ah, Simon you're here. Please come in. Dinner should be ready." Uncle Greg said before going back into the dining room.
I just shrugged my shoulders as we followed Uncle Greg into the dining room.
"So Greg, now that Simon is here, who is the second guest that you have coming." Ally asked.
"It's a surprise." Uncle Greg replied.
"Wait, there is a second person coming?" Simon questioned.
"Apparently, but Simon won't tell anyone who it is." I said.
Simon opened his mouth to speak, but just then the doorbell rang.
"I'll get it." I said quickly and started to get up, but was quickly shut down by Uncle Greg.
"Oh no you don't." Uncle Greg said as he stood up.
"Why not?" I whined as I sat back down.
"Because you're not ruining my surprise that easily." He said as he walked out of the dining room toward the front door.
A moment later Uncle Greg came back smiling, but this time he was followed by a man. Wait, he looks familiar.
"No way." Aunt Denise, Theo, and Simon whispered in disbelief.
"Girls, this is Paul Higgins. Denise, Theo, Simon, you remember Paul right" Uncle Greg introduced with a huge smile.
