--Theo and Emma--
*Emma's POV*
*The Next Day*
"Hey, what are you doing here so early? Aren't you supposed to be at the studio or at some interview or something?" Theo asked me as he came into the living room.
The girls and I finally have the day off from interviews and studios, so I decided that I was going to spend the day at Uncle Greg's. Ever since the girls and I signed, we've been super busy and not spending too much time at home. Before we signed, I used to spend all of my time home, taking care of my dad when I wasn't at school or with the girls.
"I have the day off." I replied, not taking my eyes off the TV.
"If you have the day off don't you want to spend it at home, with your dad?" He asked.
"Why are you asking so many questions?" I asked as I finally laid eyes on him.
"That was only the third." Theo said, defending himself.
"Exactly." I replied.
"Are you going to answer my question or not?" Theo asked in annoyance.
"That's question number four." I said, starting to keep count of his questions.
"Emma, seriously." Theo said.
I knew by the tone of his voice, he was being absolutely serious. I hate when my cousin gets this tone. It's like he's dad or, in my case, Uncle Greg. He may be older, but he's still my cousin.
"I just don't want to be home right now, okay." I said in annoyance.
"And why not?" He asked.
"You know why." I replied.
"Emma, you have been using that excuse for months now." Theo stated.
"What do you mean?" I asked in serious confusion.
"Everyday you and the girls come back here to have dinner. Then when my dad offers to drive everyone else home, you always stay for like 3 hours after that, even though my dad goes there after dropping everyone else off. You always end up walking home without telling us that you're leaving. My dad eventually started to follow you home discreetly. He's afraid that you'll be kidnapped or something, but that's a whole different story." Theo explained.
"Theo, ever since the girls and I signed, we have been so busy, spending a lot of time at the studio, and little time at home. I feel uncomfortable going home, knowing dad is in his room, not knowing what I am doing with my life." I told him.
"What do you mean?" He asked.
"I don't feel comfortable going home, knowing that I am lying to my father about what I am doing with my day, especially when I know he's not going to approve of it." I explained.
"Emma, you know that your dad is going to be proud of you, no matter what you do." Theo told me.
"Honestly Theo, I don't think he will. I get that he was famous back in the day, but for as long as I could remember, dad has never like the thought of singers/songwriters. Heck, he never like the idea of music to begin with. That's why, I hid the fact that I listened to music all of the time. That's why, when telling dad about my day throughout my high school career, I never told him that I was in any music classes or that I was in a band. So I think you should get why I am afraid to tell him that I am in a band by the very same person who signed him way back when." I explained to him.
"Listen, I get why you don't want to go home. You don't want to be in the same house as the person who you're lying too. But he's going to find out eventually. And when he does, you're going to have to face him, one way or another." Theo told me.
After that, we didn't say anything. Theo just sat down next to me, and we spent the rest of the day watching TV.
*Greg's POV*
The girls finally had the day off from the studio and interviews, which meant I didn't have to pick anyone up to drive them around the entire city of London. I finally had the chance to sleep in. Or so I thought. Emma called me early this morning, asking if she could spend the day at my house. Of course I couldn't say no to my niece, so I threw on a pair of sweats and a clean t-shirt and went to pick her up. When I returned to my house, I went back to sleep for another hour or two, and when I got up, Theo and Emma seemed to be having a pretty serious conversation. So I decided not to barge in. I stayed right outside the door and listened. I know that I shouldn't eavesdrop, but I couldn't help it. I was curious to know what they were talking about.
"I don't feel comfortable going home, knowing that I am lying to my father about what I am doing with my day, especially when I know he's not going to approve of it." I explained.
"Emma, you know that your dad is going to be proud of you, no matter what you do." Theo told me.

Okay, I know that Simon and the girls agreed upon a surprise for my brother and the rest of the boys, but they need to know sooner. They have to. I can't have my niece feel uncomfortable in her own home because she feels like she's lying right to her own fathers face, even though she knows he won't approve of what she's doing. Simon and I have to come up with a plan to somehow get the boys to realize that their girls are doing something that they love.
