*Marissa's POV*

So the girls and I just arrived at Simon's office. Simon promised us that he and Greg would discuss anything we wanted to know about our fathers. I honestly still can't get over the fact that our fathers were in a famous boy band before we were born. Honestly, I can't picture my dad singing. Dad has always resented singers and anything to do with music for as long as I could remember. So it's kind of weird to think that dad was in a band.

"MARISSA!" I heard Ally yell.

"What?" I whined.

"Are you coming in or are you just going to stand in the hall staring off into space all day?" Ally said sarcastically.

I quickly stuck my tongue out at her before we entered Simon's office with the rest of the gang.

"It's nice of you to join us." Taylor said sarcastically and this time, the both of us stuck our tongue out at her.

Simon chuckled slightly before speaking.

"So girls, I promised you that Greg and I would tell you anything you wanted to know about your fathers and their career. So the question is, what do you want to know?" Simon asked.

"How did they become famous in the first place?" Emma asked.

"You didn't look that up?" Her uncle asked her in confusion.

"No, none of us wanted to look anything up. We wanted to you two to tell us about our fathers yourselves." Emma replied.

"Fair enough." Greg replied.

"Anyway, how did they become famous?" Emma said, repeating her question.

"Well, back in 2010, your fathers each auditioned for the X Factor as individuals." Simon replied.

"So how did they become a group if they auditioned for the X Factor as individuals?" Darcy asked.

"Well, your fathers made it through to boot camp." Greg started and Simon continued.

"Unfortunately, they didn't make it past boot camp as individuals, but after much consideration, I brought the five of them back out on stage and announced that they wold be continuing on as a group." Simon explained.

"Did they win?" I asked.

"No, they came in third that year." Greg replied.

"And they still became famous, even though they came in third on the show?" Taylor asked.

"Yes. They were growing more and more popular as the show went on. So I knew it wasn't the end of their careers when they did come in third." Simon explained.

As our meeting with Simon and Greg went on, we continued to learn more and more about our fathers. It's quite interesting to learn about our fathers careers we never knew they had.

"So, why did our fathers break up the band up?" Emma asked.

"They all decided that they wanted to pursue solo careers." Greg replied.

"Wait, so they were still famous after they all went their separate ways?" Ally asked in confusion.

"Yeah, why do you sound so surprised?" Greg asked.

"Because we thought they went from being in a world famous boy band to just normal human beings over night." Darcy admitted.

"Yeah, no." Greg replied.

Reading our confused looks, Greg continued.

"You see, they were all had amazing solo careers going, but since they quit the band, you could tell something was off with each of them. We couldn't quite put our fingers on it." Greg admitted.
