Dinner was quiet.
Something Louis was not used to.
Niall had ordered pizza, so they all sat together in the dining room to eat in silence.
It was when Louis finished his first slice that he was finally over it. "So Niall, how's you get the farm?"
"I bought it to launder money," Niall deadpanned, still glaring at Harry -he had been alternating between glaring at Edward and Harry since they sat down.-
"Well- oh, that's fun." Louis took a careful bite out of his new slice of Hawaiian pizza.
"Yes." Niall took a sip of his water. "It's exhilarating."
Edward moved a hand to rest on Louis' thigh, squeezing gently. "Hush, Baby. Stop bothering Niall."
And then the silence returned and dinner ended fifteen minutes later.
---
Edward woke up to a sudden expose of light and sat up, rubbing his eyes. "Why?" He looked up to see Louis, opening up all of the windows and turning on all of the lights in the room.
"Because I need you to wake up, and now you're awake so you can go make me breakfast," Louis explained with an encouraging smile, jumping back on the bed and pushing Edward. "And you better hurry too because I'm hungry."
Edward looked at Louis with a tired expression. "I am not going to make you breakfast right now, Louis."
Louis stopped his movements and frowned. "Why not?"
"Because right now I'm sleeping."
"No you're not, you're awake- Hey! Stop that!"
Edward wrapped his arms around the boy, pulling him down to lay under the sheets and press up against his chest. "I will do no such thing."
"Edward! I will hit you so hard right now!"
"Stop screaming, Baby Doll. If you wake Harry he might come in here," Edward threatened, pinning the boy down and nuzzling his face into the soft skin of his neck.
Louis rolled his eyes and whispered, "Let me go, Edward."
"No."
"I'll beat you up right now!"
"No."
"I'll go to Marcel's room."
"No. Just enjoy the fucking moment Louis," Edward rasped out, his lips accidentally grazing against Louis' neck.
Louis shivered and attempted to wriggle out of Edward's hold. "I will enjoy nothing until I get my breakfast!"
Edward groaned and pulled away from Louis' neck. His tired eyes gazing into Louis' energetic ones. "Fine," Edward sighed out. "But I'm going to need some collateral first."
"Whatever! I just want to cereal or something."
At the sound of Louis' consent, Edward dipped his face back into the boy's neck, pressing gentle kisses along the delicate skin. He settled on the place just under Louis' pulse when the boy squirmed just by a touch to the area. Edward planted a wet kiss to the soft spot before sucking on it gently.
Louis turned his head to the side with Edward's gentle coaxing, but not without grumbling about how it wasn't a very fair collateral.
Edward chuckled before pressing kisses up and down Louis' jugular. "Would you prefer that I stop?"
"No!-" Louis turned to look back at Edward. "I mean... it's whatever, I don't even care."
Edward leveled his eyes with Louis', humming at the boy's words. "If you don't care for my affections then maybe I will stop." Amusement was clear in his tone, but Louis knew that the man really would stop if Louis didn't play into his game.
