Edward woke up to the sound of little sneezes and whining, making him sit up. He frowned at the empty bed, instinctively looking over to the bathroom for Louis, and smirking once he heard a cough coming from the bathroom.
The man stretched his arms out and got out of bed, walking over to the bathroom and knocking on it gently. "You in there, Doll?"
He heard Louis mumble out, "no, go away."
"Baby Doll, I'm not going anywhere. What's wrong, Babe?"
Edward sighed at the silence on Louis' part. "I'm coming in, Louis."
Edward opened the door and looked down at Louis. The boy was surrounded in crumpled up tissues, and when Louis looked up at Edward with his puffy blue eyes and runny red nose, the man understood what was going on.
With a condescending smile that Louis wanted to punch and kiss at the same time, Edward cooed and looked down at the boy, crouching down. "Aw, is my little baby sick?"
Louis sniffled and blew his nose into a previously clean napkin, mumbling a quiet, "yeah."
He normally would've pushed Edward away and called him a wuss, but Louis just wanted to be comforted with back rubs and some chicken noodle soup.
"Come on, Baby Doll." Edward picked the boy up, holding the boy by his thick thighs and walking back to the bed.
When he tried to place Louis on to the bed, the boy whined and nuzzled deeper into the crook of Edward's neck.
"What's wrong Babe?" Edward rubbed circles into Louis' back. "Not going to let me work today, hm?"
Louis shook his head. "Stay and cuddle with me."
At Edward's sigh, Louis whined and sniffled, "please?"
After looking at Louis for a second, Edward took out his phone and dialed a number, holding it against his ear.
"Cover me for the day, Louis doesn't feel good." Edward hung up the phone before Harry could reply.
"You're staying?" Louis asked, smiling wide and coughing into his arm.
Edward nodded and turned his phone on mute. "I need to take care of my Little Baby, don't I?"
Edward leaned in to kiss Louis, but was stopped by the boy pushing at his shoulders, shaking his head and mumbling, "you'll get sick too."
"You won't let me get sick?" Edward asked, chuckling softly when the boy shook his head, his hair falling over eyes.
"What do you want to do now then, Baby Doll?"
Louis rubbed his eyes. "I want to snuggle and watch Disney movies."
"Disney?" Edward asked, making a face at the request. "I don't own any DVDs, Darling. Want to see if Harry or Marcel have any?"
Normally Louis would've muttered something about how he wanted Harry to choke. It had been a week since Louis had last spoke to Harry, the boy was definitely holding a grudge. So, much to Edward's surprise, Louis just fluttered his eyes shut and nodded into his shoulder.
Edward left this phone on the night stand and adjusted his grip on Louis, walking out the room and into Harry's. He was happy to see that his brother had already left, but now he had to look for movies in the mess that was Harry's room.
"Wanna lay down in Harry's bed, looks comfy," Louis mumbled, tugging on Edward's hair gently.
"Baby Doll, if you want to lay down I'll take you to my room."
