Chapter 18

"You're such a weirdo,Blossom" I laugh from the couch.

Jason shakes his head reentering the room handing Cheryl and I our food "Rich coming from you" he laughs joining us on the couch.

I flick through the channels a few times before leaving it on Cartoon Network.

"Real mature,hobo" Cheryl rolls her eyes playfully nudging my shoulder.

"Shut it,ginger" I point at her smiling.

"So,Ezra. What's the whole boyfriend situation looking like?" He's referring to Sweet Pea and I recently breaking up.

I shake my head "I really would rather talk about anything else right now,anyway,how're you and Polly doing".

He shifts uncomfortably is his seat and Cheryl looks down. "Actually there's something I wanted to talk to you about"

He tells me his entire plan,how in the morning he and Cheryl are going to tell their parents that they're going on a boat ride across Sweetwater River. Cheryl's going to bring JJ to the other side and he's going to disappear. Cheryl's going to fake an accident so everyone thinks he's dead,but really he's running away with Polly.

We decided not to talk about it any longer and cuddled together on the couch,enjoying the last time the three of us would be together.

The peace and quiet is soon replaced by my dad entering the trailer "What the hell are you doing here?" He yells pointing at Jason.

I shoot my dad a confused look and untangle myself from the twins "We're just hanging out dad,he's my friend"

Jason shakes his head "Its fine E,don't worry about it" he stands up and heads for the door "I'll call you"

"The hell you will,leave" my dad shoved him out the door,Cheryl following.

I jump up from the couch and run outside "Cheryl,Jason! Wait!"

They turn to face me,Jason looking upset and Cheryl confused.

Jason quickly wraps his arms around me and hugs me tight,me doing the same "I'm really gonna miss you,dork. I'll call you as soon as Polly and I are out of Riverdale,I promise"

I nod pulling away from the hug,hearing my dad call my name. "I'll see you later,weirdo".

I hug Cheryl and say goodbye before heading back inside. My dad sitting on the couch with his head in his hands "I want you to stay away from him"

I sigh and shrug,there's no point arguing if he's leaving anyway "Okay dad,I won't hang out with him anymore"

He looks over at me smiling softly "Thank you doll,it's late you should get to bed,you've got school in the morning"

After Jason left,Cheryl and I waited to hear anything about Jason,and unfortunately we did.

Kevin had called me to let me know that he and Moose found Jason at Sweetwater River,with a bullet in his head.

I had kept myself locked in my room,well until my best friend Betty climbed through the window and convinced me to go to homecoming. With Reggie Mantle.

It wasn't as bad as I anticipated,Reggie wasn't being an ass,Betty and Jughead seemed happy and Kevin was having fun with his boyfriend Joaquin. Archie and Veronica had just  shown up and were now talking to Mrs.Cooper which was weird.
