Chapter 24

Ezra Jones

"That's the dumbest idea you've ever come up with, babe" Jordan sighs as he shakes his head.

"Look, I asked Mrs.McCoy and she said stealing a car would get me six weeks in the pen. Max. If I'm inside I can look after Archie!" I protest, grabbing the wire coat hanger from my bed.

"If you're inside who's gonna look after you?"

I scoff "I don't need looking after, get out of my way" I shove past him in an attempt to get out the door.

Jordan grabs my wrist "Nuh uh. Not happening, I'm not leaving my girlfriend go to jail to babysit Andrews"

"Archie won't last fifteen minutes. He'll be alone. Archie helped the Serpents, now it's my turn to help him"

"E, the Serpents already in juvie will have his back. Okay?" He rests his hands on my shoulders.

I sigh nodding "Fine, let me go visit him with Reggie and Veronica then."

He sighs in defeat "Alright. I'll pick you up afterwards alright?"

I smile, kissing Jordan quickly before bolting our the door before he can change his mind.

"How's it hanging, Red?" I smile, sitting in front of Archie in the visiting room.

"It been okay, as okay as juvenile detention can be" he shrugs, smiling at the three of us.

We stay for the full hour of visitation until we're kicked out by the guards.

Sweet Pea picks me up as promised and drops me back at my own trailer.

My mind races as I try to think of a way to help Archie out of his current situation.

Nothin'.

I think of asking India for help, but who knows if her mother and the Warden still have a thing going on.

I could ask my dad, but I know that'd end up with a big fat 'stay out of it'.

My mom is a hopeless case since she's joined the farm.

And Jordan wants me as far away from juvie as possible.

The next day arrives. And Veronica Lodge is stood at my door in a Vixen uniform, the rest of the team behind her.

"Get you're uniform on"

That's all I'm told before I'm dragged to the detention centre, right outside the fence of the yard. Veronica had the idea to have a pep-rally for the football game going on.

After we had preformed a song we began screaming and cheering.

A guard at the top of the hill shouts "Stop the riot!"

A riot team spills out of the prison and begins striking the inmates.

"They've been set up!" I turn to Veronica "We have to do something"

"Like what?! We can't get in there!" She cries running to the fence.

"Can't we?" I begin to climb the fence that kept them in and us out.
