Chapter 34 • Heathers!

Ezra Jones.

I march through the hallway, towards the auditorium where Heathers rehearsals were being held.

When I fire the door open, Kevin is asking everybody what there role is, he gives me an odd look as I stomp down the aisle between seats.

"I'm playing Veronica Sawyer. Outcast, turned Heather, turned-"

"Turned understudy" I grit my teeth, gripping onto the chair in front of Josie. "You have a lotta guts, try it and I'll tear 'em out"

"Ezra, is there a problem?" Kevin asks, his head tilted to the side.

"You think I'm going to sit back and let her play Veronica after she asked my boyfriend on a date? There is literally a borderline sex scene between JD and Veronica" I throw my hands up in anger.

Josie shakes her head standing up "I am not giving up this role because you're insecure about you're relationship"

"Maybe you'll fuck off when I jam my foot up your ass" I smile, crossing my arms. 

"Uh, Ezra" Kevin rubs the back of his neck "I can't change the cast now"

"Really? I'm sure Tom Keller would love to hear about his son staying after school to burn his hand with a Bunsen Burner along with a group of teen cult members"

Kevin's eyes widen as he looks towards Josie "I can't tell my dad I'm a part of the farm, not yet"

Josie scoffs standing up "Screw you, I don't need to deal with this right now" She grabs her bag before leaving the auditorium.

I grin smugly sitting down beside Jordan.

"That was a bit harsh, don't you think?" Archie asks with an eyebrow raised.

I shrug my shoulders "Why are you so bothered? She your girlfriend or something?"

Kevin announces Toni as choreographer, making Cheryl nearly fall off her seat.

Evelyn standing on top of the piano seems to catch everyone's attention.

"Everyone, hi. I know that cast parties are usually after opening night, but the farm will be hosting a little get together at the former Sisters of Quiet Mercy. And I know it may seem a little weird, or Method-y, but come in costume." She smiles before hopping down again.

We go over the choreo and lines up until candy store, which takes up the school day. Everyone rushes home to get into costume and we all regroup at the Sisters.

I laugh at Jordan's horrible dancing as Big Fun blasts through the speakers and we all sing and dance along.

"You need a Jell-O shot!" He laughs, disappearing into the crowd to get us them.

I smile as I dance with Evelyn, for the kid of a cult leader she's surprisingly not that bad.

Jordan reappears with two Jell-O shots and a pissed off expression.

"Someone's not having big fun" I joke, taking my shot from him and he rolls his eyes smiling once more.

"Josie is cozying up to Archie. She almost ruined everything and now she's acting like nothing happened" He sighs, throwing his arm around my shoulder.

I shake my head "As long as she's not cozying up to you, I could not care less about what she does"

The rest of the party consists of people getting drunk, stoned or both. Which helped none of us during rehearsals the next morning.

"So," Evelyn begins speaking "Last night was big fun. But now it's time to dig deep. So we're each going to share something that we've never told anyone before. Big or small."
