Okay so if you know me, and read my PLL and GH fanfic, then you know that my main favorite couple besides Spoby is GH's JaSam (Jason and Sam Morgan)
And this one shot is Based off the JaSam scene where Sam tells Jason "Don't let them take my ring." I cry every time I rewatch it and so of course I cried making this one shot not too long ago and I had to add my own little twist at the end for my Spoby lol. So I hope you all enjoy!

To make it fit with the scene Spencer was shot in the lower back
"Excuse me Doctor but I was wondering if you could give me an update on my sister Spencer Cavanaugh's condition?" Melissa asked the Doctor, it has been almost a month since Spencer was shot by A.D. and she was getting worse instead of better.
"Well your sister was shot in the lower back and during surgery to repair the bullet wound she began to hemorrhage. Although the operation was successful she developed a condition called CTD." Dr. Lee said. "So how do you treat that?" Melissa asked. "She's been receiving transfusions of plasma and blood but we've been unable to relieve the condition and her blood pressure continues to drop..... I'm sorry, your sister is dying." Dr Lee said with sorrow in her voice.
"Then you need to find some way to
help her." Melissa said desperately, she didn't want to lose her little sister.
Meanwhile in Spencer's hospital room her loving safe place to land, who also happens to be her husband was sitting in the chair next to her beside and he held her hand in his gently. He was so worried about losing her but he kept reminding himself that he couldn't think that way and that he needed to be strong for her sake.
"I love you so much." Spencer said weakly and Toby was brought out of his thoughts and he looked up at his wife giving her a small smile. "I love you too. I always will." He said trying to hold in his tears, it was killing him that she didn't seem to be getting any better and there was nothing he could do to take her pain away, and he didn't even want to think about the possibility of losing her. "I'm so sorry..... I have to leave you." Spencer weakly croaked out and Toby could see the tears in her eyes, he knew that she thinks that she isn't going to make it but hearing her say this just broke his heart all over again. "Don't be sorry, for anything." Toby said shaking his head and doing his best not to cry in front of his wife. "Toby I'm tired." Spencer said starting to cry. "Just try to get some rest okay." Toby said as he reached his other hand out to gently stroked her hair.
"Can you promise me something please?" Spencer breathed as another tear rolled down her cheek. "Anything." Toby nodded doing his best not to break down in front of her right now. "Don't let them take my ring." Spencer said as more tears rolled down her face and Toby didn't know how much longer he could keep his tears in but he had to be strong for his wife. "I promise." Toby said as he could feel tears in his eyes again but he quickly blinked them away and Spencer gave him a weak but small smile before closing her eyes and Toby didn't take his eyes off of her, he couldn't.
Just then Melissa walked back into the room. "Toby, would you mind if I sat with her for a minute?" Melissa asked and Toby reluctantly stood up from the chair, still not taking his eyes off of Spencer. "She just fell asleep." Toby said with relief in his voice.
