Chapter 7: Something Isn't Right

[A year later]

(Vixy's POV)

Wow, one hell of a year it's been. I moved to Zootopia, lost my parents and baby sisters, moved in with my uncle, aunt, and cousin, meeting her two best friends, going to a new school, probably developing a crush on Aaron, the whole nine yards.

I learned a few things about the friendship we all shared over the first year of the quartet friendship: Aaron and Jasper sometimes get pissed off at each other, but it was just because they've known each other longer. Jasper has a slight crush on Viv, but I swore not to tell anyone, and Aaron and I are basically obsessed with musicals.

Now, it was summer break, once again, only about a month until school starts back up.

But, just because nothing bad happened with me, doesn't mean it didn't fair well for others. Aaron sadly lost his mother at the beginning of summer, but decided to get his mind off of it by spending time with us other than sitting in the dark of his room. And, I actually had a panic attack at school. 

So, we were watching  video and someone in the class mentioned a joke about rape and well, this happened; I started thinking about the rape incident, then the reason I moved, then every single last detail of the car crash. If it hadn't been for Aaron, Jasper, Vivian, and our teacher trying to calm me down, I probably would've passed out.

Anyways, back to present day!

"Vixy! Wake up!" 

I groaned before looking at my clock. '9:45 AM'. I'm so glad they let me sleep in. I sat up, revealing the tank top I was wearing and stretched. Yeah, my go to think for pajamas is either a t-shirt or tank top and pajama pants. 

Anyways, I climbed out of my bed and quickly changed into my usual clothing for the summer. I left my room and went downstairs, where Aunt Dawn and Vivian was.

"Let me guess, Uncle Nick's at work?" I asked.

Aunt Dawn nodded. Vivian looked up from her phone. "Good morning to you too, Vix." she said sarcastically. I chuckled and sat with the other two vixens and ate a bowl of blueberries.

After I finished, Viv looked at the time. "Well, mom, Vixy and I better hurry over to the park to see Civil War with Jas and Aaron." she said, giving me a small smirk. She and Jasper were the only ones who knew about my developing crush on Aaron.

Aunt Dawn smiled. "Well, I'll be around that area about 3:30, so you guys have a bit of fun." she said, giving us a warm smile.

I nodded and put my phone in my pocket. "Bye Aunt Dawn, love you." I called out as Vivian gave her mom a quick kiss on her cheek.

But as we left, I couldn't help but think that something wasn't right.
