(Vixy's POV)

"Aaron, get the first aid kit in the bathroom underneath the sink then explain what the hell is going on." My uncle said while I got Jasper's shirt off of him, revealing the wounds on his chest and stomach and his slightly built frame. Yes, I'm gonna admit he's built, just not as much as my Aaron.

Aaron nodded and headed towards the bathroom while Uncle Nick checked Jasper's pulse. "He's still alive," he said with relief.

I sighed softly and scanned the leopard's head for a bump on it. "Found the bump, get an ice pack," I told my uncle. He nodded and went into the kitchen to grab one while I stayed with Jas, feeling sympathy for this dumb leopard.

What had been going on with him lately? Hell if I know!

Aaron and uncle Nick returned and Aaron and I started by mending Jasper's wounds, placing the bandages on the claw marks and took out the glass on his shoulder. Some blood left his head and Aaron and I quickly bandaged it up, making sure it was healed up enough. Once we finished, Uncle Nick placed the ice pack on his head.

"Fluff, deep breaths, in for four out for eight." Uncle Nick said gently and I didn't realize that I was breathing heavily until now. I sat down in a nearby chair and did so until my breathing was stable.

Aaron sighed. "Fucking shit, I knew I should've reported it sooner," he mumbled. I sighed. "Okay, Aaron, what the hell is going on with Jasper? I know for a fact you know." I said seriously.

Aaron glanced at me, then my uncle, and then back to me. Before Aaron could answer, Judy came in from downstairs. "Sorry! I heard all the commotion and couldn't sleep."

Aaron and I looked at the two wide-eyed and I couldn't believe that NOW I see my uncle doesn't have his shirt on.

"Umm, ignoring that, yes I do," he mumbled, looking worriedly at Jasper.  I heard Judy's pen clicked and silently shook my head.

Aaron sighed and continued. "Before Viv...ya know, died, Jasper and I were hanging out after school and after we expressed how we felt about that situation we were all in, he made me promise not to tell anyone what was going on."

He paused, looking ashamed of what he'd done before speaking, and those words made me want to cry more than anything: "For the past three months, Jasper's mom has been drinking and abusing him, which is why he had been coming to school light-headed, scratches, or even that black eye two weeks ago."

Uncle Nick, Judy and I were speechless. Aaron looked away and placed his paw over his eyes, the tears visible to me. "He told me not to tell three weeks ago and I complied. I should've said something sooner," he mumbled.

I took a minute to process everything going through my head before bringing my boyfriend close to me, his back pressing up against my chest and stomach. I sighed and kissed his cheek comfortingly, trying to reassure him. He sighed and let his tense shoulders relax, letting me rest my chin on his shoulder.

"He was afraid of getting killed before help came, wasn't he?" I asked softly, my arms wrapping around his upper body and gently rubbing his chest and stomach.

He sighed and nodded, closing his eyes in comfort.

Uncle Nick sighed. "We'll talk more to Jasper about his abuse later; in the meantime, Carrots and I will report this to the ZPD. You two stay here and wait for Jasper to wake," he said.

Aaron and I both nodded before my uncle and Judy went upstairs to change: "You know they're having sex, right?" Aaron asked, looking up at me.

I sighed. "Oh, trust me, I do. But, in a way, I knew their friendship and partnership would turn into something more. Always did."

{Morning}

(Jasper's POV)

I groaned weakly, feeling some cool air hit my upper body and an ice pack on my head. I squeezed my eyes shut tightly. "Ugh, fuck," I groaned, feeling my headache.

"Easy Jasper."

"A-Aaron? Vixy?" I rasped weakly, recognizing the voice of my friends as I weakly opened my eyes.

I wasn't at the hospital, I was in Vixy's living room, on the couch more likely, seeing the small rays of the sun. It was morning? How long was I fucking out for?

My vision was a bit blurred, but it cleared up enough to where I could see my friends more clearly.

Aaron weakly smiled. "Hey, Jas. How're you feeling?" he asked, looking pretty exhausted.

I slowly sat up, now realizing that my shirt was off and my wounds were bandaged. I hissed in pain when it returned in my shoulder, the one where mom threw the bottle. "O-Okay, I guess. How long was I out for? And what time is it?" I asked.

Vixy looked at her phone. "Well, it's eight am, you passed out around 2 am, so about six hours."

I groaned and placed one of my paws over my eyes. "Mom got really bad with me this time. I honestly thought I was going to die." I mumbled.

I heard Aaron sigh. "Jas, you need to explain the whole thing. Vixy and I deserve to know." I looked at them, my eyes fearful and desperate for some kind of relief from my hellhole, but I knew that Vixy and Aaron would be there for me. I sighed heavily.

"Okay," I muttered and sat up a bit more and rested my left arm on my left leg. "Ever since the close of December, my mom started getting abusive and drinking. Vixy, the only reason I lied to you and not Aaron was that I wasn't sure how you'd react. I had to get some homework finished at my real home so I left Aaron's place to do so. I was just finishing it up when mom came in extremely drunk last night. She slapped me, which wasn't that big of a deal. But it got more violent as it continued. She threw her bottle at my shoulder and another one at the wall before she threw me on the ground. I was only out for a couple of seconds before she gave me those nasty claw marks and then kneed me in the face. I'm surprised I wasn't unconscious by that time." When I had finished, my paws were pretty much shaking like hell.

I glanced at Vixy and Aaron: Vixy had a face of pure shock while Aaron looked like he was going to be sick. I sighed. "I just couldn't bring myself to fight back."

Aaron spoke. "Why haven't you trusted the police in the first place Jas? They would've gotten you outta there sooner."

I felt anger rise. "Aaron, you wouldn't understand." I snarled.

He slightly growled. "You've been LIVING in an abusive home for THREE FUCKING MONTHS and you still refuse to admit that they'll help. Jasper, you could've been killed this time Jas, KILLED! Do you know what I would've done to myself if you-"

"YOU KNOW DAMN WELL I HAVE NOT BEEN THE SAME SINCE EMERYS DISAPPEARANCE AARON STEVEN BLACK-MANE!"

I instantly slapped my paws over my mouth after I did that. Aaron and I NEVER did that to each other. We get pissed off at one another, yes, but those are jokes. But, what I said was true. I'm usually so cocky and happy and always in a positive mood, but when Emery disappeared, I wasn't the same leopard that I always was.

I finally got the courage to look at my two friends, seeing the shock and sympathy in their green gazes. Vixy still looked shocked while Aaron looked like he had seen his best friend murder someone.

I buried my face in my knees and softly sobbed, whimpering, "I'm sorry" over and over again.

Aaron and Vixy sat next to me before hugging me tightly. For the first time in months, I finally felt a sense of security.
