Chapter 13: Sorry About Snapping

(Vixy's POV)

I felt really bad after mine and Aaron's argument that I spent lunch in the library getting some homework done early. I didn't tell Viv or Jas about it, in fear that the two would think less of me.

I was out in the school courtyard after school, since I had to finish something in school. 

I heard a door open and figured that it was just my teacher coming to see how close I was to finishing. They said that they'd keep me here for as long as I needed and ignored it.

Footsteps were heard, but I ignored them, writing down what I needed to.

"Room for one more?" Aaron's voice was heard. 

I shrugged and patted the spot next to me, telling him that he could sit down.

I heard the maned wolf fox sit down next to me and put his backpack down next to me. I couldn't help but glance at his arm, well, not the one I saw today, the one that he got pushed up against a locker today. Yeah, a cheetah named Max likes to pick fights or pick up girls...yeah, that's all I'm gonna say.

We sat there in silence for awhile while I did my work. 

It was about ten minutes until Aaron broke the silence. "Sorry about snapping at you today. I, I'll tell you what's going on when I think I can gather my thoughts." he muttered.

I kind of figured what had been going on, but I decided not to bring it up and smiled at him, punching his shoulder gently. "Don't be goofball. I shouldn't have ignored you all day. That was my fault." I said, feeling a little bad now for feeling guilty and hiding from my friend and kind of like family.

Aaron patted my back reassuringly. "No, don't be. We both kind of fucked up today." he said.

I laughed and nodded in agreement.

The teacher whom I had to give to the assignment to came, and I gave her my assignment, which was finished. 

"You two can head on home now. Have a great day." they said.

Aaron and I walked outside the school. "Hey, see ya tomorrow Vix." Aaron said as he headed to his dad's car. I smiled, feeling a small blush creep across my face. Thank god that my fur is ginger.

"Yeah, see ya Aaron." I called out.

I watched him and his dad leave the school before quickly walking home, feeling relief flood over me like an ocean.
