This. Is. Delicious.

I sat in what seemed to be Marco's home. It was a standard living room with a television, blue wallpaper, a few couches and a coffee table.

I was in a smaller couch eating vigorously at some sort of sweet meat. I had no idea what it was, but it tasted amazing.

"This..... this is... delicious," I said in between bites with sauce smothered around my mouth. "What IS this!?"

The girl from before who introduced herself as Jodie quirked an eyebrow and answered, "Uhh. Sweet and sour chicken." "IT'S AMAZING!" "You've really never tasted chicken before? It's selling all over Coralon." I looked up at her with a wide grin. "NOPE!"

"So your from outta town?" Marco asked as he grabbed a seat beside his sister. "Mmhmm," I mumbled, still focused on devouring the 'chicken'. "Which town are you from?"

"Y-you know.." I stammered. "Outta town.... Town." "Right," Jodie said.

I whipped my head around to the front door that suddenly burst open. "Dude! Can you believe Taylor quit on us!?" A male with dark blue eyes said as he entered the house. "How are we going to find someone with water powers for tonight's fight!?" Another said. They looked like twins, the only difference was that the second one had green eyes. Neither of them seemed to notice my presence.

"Seriously!?" Jodie groaned. "Hey guys!" Marco said trying to change the subject. "Meet Crissie," he gestured to me. I waved at the twins with a hand covered in sauce and gave the biggest smile I could make. "Sup," the green-eyes one said. "Lemme guess," the other said. "Your mom's not home yet."

"Our parents are on some kinda business trip... guess we have the house to ourselves," Jodie said. "That's Bill," Marco pointed to the one with blue eyes. "And that's Gill."

"How can you guys tell the difference between them?" I whispered. "Gill has green eyes and Bill has blue eyes." Marco smirked.

"Smart.." I mumbled sarcastically.

"Crissie here saved me from MR. Butt face not too long ago."

"Wow. Well if you're cool with Marco, you're cool with us," Bill smiled brightly.

"So What's this talk about not having someone with water powers?" I asked, licking the sauce from my fingers. "That jerk-o Taylor quit on us for tonight's match of The Battle Of Elementals," Gill said in frustration as he sat in a couch beside me. "With Bill playing for air, Jodie for earth and Marco for fire, we don't have any other team mate."

There was a long pause before I was hit with a bright idea. "What if I play with you guys?"

"What?" Jodie seemed slightly bewildered. "Yeah! I'm pretty good with water. I have no idea what The Battle of Elementals is, but it sounds like I'd have to blast someone in the face and that's my speciality." I said proudly.

"You do seem like a good fighter..." Marco thought out loud. "And you bring a nice spirit of charisma to the team.." Jodie continued. "Yeah! Sure. Why not? We don't have anything else to lose!" Marco said.

"Sweet!" I smiled. "We have 6 more hours until the match tonight, let's get training!" Marco stood up and began to walk to the kitchen before I stuck my leg out to stop him. He looked down at me in confusion until I held up my empty plate and wore my best pleading face. "More please?" I asked in an innocent voice. "You literally ate 7 chicken wings Crissie....."

My pleading expression turned into a demanding one as I commanded, "Give. Me. More." "Okay, Okay!" He raised his arms in surrender before snatching the plate and stomping away.

Chicken.... what have I been missing my whole life?

"And down here is the training ground!" Marco said as he led us down a long flight of stairs. I stepped down into a huge room that looked like a basement. There were punching bags, fighting dummies and different objects used to fight. "Cool, huh?" He asked.

I glanced at him through the corner of my eye before shrugging. "I've seen better."

"W-what?!" He seemed shocked. "Are you rich or something?" "You saw me with an old backpack, hunting boots and a cloak around me," I raised an eyebrow at him while tying the arms of the cloak around my waist. "You really think I'm rich?"

"Good point."

"Come on you guys!" Jodie exclaimed annoyedly. "Let's get training already. Li'l bro, you're with me. Since Bill is playing this time, Gill can sit this one out." I saw Gill stomp off, mumbling something under his breath before his twin and I got ready to fight. We made our way over to a blue fighting mat on the floor.

"Ready?" Bill asked as he got into his stance. I nodded, getting into mine with my hands clasped in front of me. "So, you have air powers. That's nic-" I started before a ball of air whizzed past my ear. I was able to jump to the side to dodge it before glaring angrily at him.

"Seriously dude?" "Gotta stay quick on your feet," he told me while aiming another attack towards me. I was just able to do a backflip and avoid it. "So you wanna play hard, huh?" I smirked evilly, controlling the water from a bucket to swirl around me before blasting it right at Bill.

As it reached him, he used the air to swiftly part the water. I was about to attack again, until a big rock smashed into the wall beside my head. I glanced warily at the stone, then back to where it came from. "Sorry.." Jodie said, smiling awkwardly and waving shyly.

These people are crazy.

Bill and I were battling for about thirty minutes, throwing water and air at each other. We jumped, ducked, dodged, attacked and did anything it took to get the upper hand. Afterwards, I stood proudly with my foot on the chest of the beaten down boy who collapsed from exhaustion. "How.... do you h-have so much.... energy?" He panted. "Oh please. That didn't take any energy," I scoffed.

When Marco and Jodie finally finished their match, they came over to us with pure shock on their faces. "Who's next!?" I smiled at them. "Crissie..." Gill started. "If you fight anymore of us, then there won't even be a team." "I guess you're stronger than I thought," Jodie said in a voice that I couldn't tell if it was a compliment or an insult.

"My partner is broken," I said, grabbing Marco's wrist and dragging him to the mat. "Your turn Marco boy!!"

As I pulled him along, I was just able to hear him whisper to the others, "Tell my story..."

Bleh.

This chapter was fine, I guess. 1000+ words..

😔 sigh.

Well, I hope you enjoyed it. To me it seemed very uneventful.

Anyone else thinks I'm dragging out the storyline too much? I just REALLY wanna include that scene from Legend of Korra.

Plz🙏🏽 bear with meh.

Vote and comment if you like it!

Anyways, that's pretty much all from me.

'Till next time.

Stop. Drop. And do the Flop!
