Boom!!

"What the heck was that!?" Jodie exclaimed, glancing around for the source frantically. "I don't know.." Marco said as he ran back to town. "We've gotta check it out."

They all ran after him except me. "Yeah. That's smart. Go to the source of the loud explosion. Totally makes sense," I grumbled before running after them.

As I ran and turned the corner, I immediately froze in my tracks. Before me stood the most horrific scene ever. The main town that we just came from was completely demolished. All the stalls were blown to pieces with their owners laying helplessly in the rubble. The stony walkway was covered in pebbles, dirt and ash.

It was a total mess.

I glanced around for the others and found that they were helping the other citizens recover. "A-are you okay!?" I asked as I helped up an old man beside me. "What happened?" He tried to answer, but started coughing uncontrollably. Instead, he slowly raised a finger and pointed to something behind me.

"Where is Princess Crystal!?" I nearly jumped out of my skin. I whipped my head around to see a man in a black ninja suit that covered his face yell at an old lady. Everyone was quiet, either because they didn't know or they were way too frightened to answer. "S-she's at t-the castle..." the hair growth guy decided to speak up.

"We're not fools!" Another who jumped from the shadows yelled. "We've checked and she's not there! So where is she!?" I slowly crept my way around a broken down building to Marco and the others.

"No answer huh?" A female ninja growled. With one quick movement, she grabbed a little girl away from a lady who looked like her mother. "If no one talks, this little girl gets it." She poked a finger at her neck and a small flame hovered slightly above it. As the silence grew, she moved the finger closer and closer to her neck.

"What do we do?" Gill gasped quietly from beside me. I searched my surroundings for something to use, but found nothing but scraps of wood and old bricks. Suddenly, I felt a surge of anger rush through me.

Who do these guys think they are!? I screamed in my head. They can't just come into my kingdom and take charge like that!

I quickly unzipped my bag and grabbed the two water bottles I packed. "What are you doing?" Marco whispered. "I don't think this is a good time to stay hydrated." I slowly placed a finger on my lips and stared knowingly at him. "Wait no!" Before he could stop me, I opened the bottles and blasted a powerful force at the ninjas.

"Attack!!" A ninja yelled, as about twenty more emerged from the shadows. I blasted the other ninja lady in her face and extinguished the fire, causing the little girl to run away. "So it's a fight you want?" She growled as she approached me with three more ninjas behind her.

Before I could answer, another force of wind blew by my ear and knocked the four into a wall. "Thanks," I told the twins. "Don't thank us yet," Jodie mumbled as we all got into our fighting stance.

Everyone was quiet. More and more ninjas were gradually appearing on top of buildings and between stalls, completely surrounding us. "There's only one way out of this," I whispered to Marco. He grinned, nodding before stepping out into the open. "What're you-" before the ninja could finish, Marco took a deep breath and blasted a huge flame from his mouth.

Nice, I thought.

Most of the ninjas were able to dodge his attack, until Jodie came from behind and threw a boulder at them. Soon, we were all fighting. Even the other commoners were attacking the ninjas, doing anything they could to defeat them. I used all the energy I had, moving my arms to attack and running swiftly on my feet to dodge.

I had never fought with so many people before. They all looked focused; even the perfume lady used all her might to blast air at the enemies. Soon after, it looked like they were retreating. There were only about twelve left, and they seemed very exhausted. "We're winning," Bill smiled as he blasted another swirl of wind. "We're winning!"

The other ninjas glanced at each other for a brief second before they vanished into thin air. "Cowards," I muttered. "Show yourself!" I walked out in the open with a pool of water hovering above my hands. "What's that all about?" I heard Gill ask. "Why did they want the Princess?"

That was a good question. Why did they want me? Who are they? I asked myself. It couldn't be.... no. It's not him. It can't be him.

"More importantly, where is she!?" Another person exclaimed. I looked around to see a group of people gathered around a stall. "What's going on?" I asked as I slowly approached them.

"Breaking news!" A news reporter said from an old brown radio. "Princess Crystal of Coralon is MISSING!"

Multiple gasps were heard from the crowd. "What?" I heard Marco ask nervously. "It is unknown when she went missing, but witness and personal trainer Melissa Cooper is held responsible." I gasped softly as I heard it.

Melissa!?!? I thought frantically.

"Mel..." I sighed sadly. "Who?" Bill peered over my shoulder. "Nothing." "And with more recent news, there has been an attack on the kingdom by an unknown enemy. Royal guards are being sent to the scene as we speak, but we are being advised to stay on the look out."

Soon, the reporter's voice became inaudible as the radio lost its signal. "Darn it!" Someone cursed. There was a loud beep coming from the radio before the signal went back to normal. But the voice who spoke wasn't the news reporter.

It was a voice that I remembered too well.

The same voice that haunted me for all those nights.

It was him.

Oh no, I mentally cursed.

A/N

Okay.... let's take a moment to calm down.

So basically these ninja jutsu guys came outta no where, attacked the kingdom and left, then the radio playing is him.

I won't say who, but I think you guys know already😂

Welp. I'll get working on the next chapter because I'm SOOOO bored.
