Blood demons

chapter 9

Ok. seeing as everone else seems to be dedicating chapters to people I feel I'll have to dedicate a chapter to someone,

So I'm dedicating this chapter to xxcrimsonshellxx, 12Anne16 (or just Anne) and Darkdestiny thankyou all for continusly commenting on my story and making me upload, so yeh thanks :)so enjoy :D

"So, who needs training?" asked Asketel as we stepped outside to get some fresh air. "Chloe and him" said Seth pointing at Tristan. Tristan quickly scribbled down something on a piece of paper, "I only need combat training, I can teach Chloe magic, if you want?" Seth grinned "You couldn't teach a monkey magic" Tristan quickly wrote back a witty reply "Well good job Chloe is a bit more intelligent than a monkey." I smiled.

"Ok then, umm, I'll teach Seth a bit of magic and you can teach Chloe some" We all nodded. I don't think Seth and Tristan would be able to work together. Asketel and Seth walked down the other edge of the garden, but I quickly realised that Tristan would have to teach me by notepad.

"Ok" he wrote "This sounds weird but clear your mind, think of a white space." I stood still and closed my eyes. Wait how could I read the instructions? Tristan tapped me and shoved a piece of paper in my face. "Starting simple, basic shield, just close your eyes and focus on a purple light, it should get brighter. Because you're a beginner it may take a while. Hold your hands out in front of you and draw out the purple light." He quickly drew a circle around me in a white dust.

I handed him back the paper and focused on a white screen. I started to get dizzy and opened my eyes. Tristan sighed and showed me some paper "Feeling dizzy, just ignore it; the purple light will heal that when it comes." I laughed, "That sounds like an advert. " Tristan grinned and then sat down on a bench. That probably meant I should try again. Again I closed my eyes and got the white light again. I began to get dizzy and it just got worse, I began to breathe heavier and sway slightly. I felt sick. Then I saw something, the purple light, it was there and just like Tristan said it got brighter. It seemed to be getting closer and closer. Soon it seemed to be right in front of me and I held my arms out. Slowly opened my eyes and almost fell back when a purple, glowing force field was surrounding me. I was standing in shock and noticed Tristan was standing there in amazement. Surely enough I had made a force field and it had completely taken away the dizziness.

But like I imagined it would, I began to run out of energy and I sunk to the ground and the shield was down. Tristan rushed over and was grinning like mad. "WOW! O.O no wonder you were picked for this mission. I've never seen a beginner do so well on the first go." He quickly wrote. I felt like I couldn't move and felt like sitting there all day, not moving. Tristan helped me up and we sat down on the nearby bench. I felt my eyelids closing and I knew I was drifting off into a deep sleep...

When I woke I was still on the bench and it was dark. It seemed to be the evening. I looked around but everyone was gone. I ran into the house but all the lights were off and no one was in. I ran upstairs but still no one was there. I heard a bang from upstairs and my heart jumped. I slowly began to creep up to the second floor. The only thing that was up there was the bathroom. Wait! What am I doing, there would be no escape route. I sprinted back downstairs and into the garden.

I walked onto the well cut lawn and breathed heavily. A shiver shot down my back as I looked around. "Meow" a cat called. I looked around and right in front of me was a black cat. I could barely see it in the light but I knew it was there. It came up to me and purred and walked into the house. I followed it as it walked upstairs. It waited for me until continuing. It then began to climb the top stairs and I froze. I heard several more bangs and trudged up to the bathroom.

Breathe, breathe everything will be fine. Now I know that shield spell I can defend myself, yet I knew I was kidding myself. Finally I reached the door and the cat pushed it open. I looked round the room and saw the noise was coming from the shower. I was still in the darkness but could make out a figure. It seemed familiar. Oh my god it was Tristan. "TRISTAN" I yelled but he just stopped banging and began to cry. I headed for the shower but quickly remembered I could hardly see. I walked back and flicked on the light.

However when I turned round Tristan was gone and so was the cat. Frantically I turned the light back off and Tristan appeared back in the shower. I felt something brush my leg but it was just the cat. I bit my knuckles. What should I do? I flicked the light back on and ran down the stairs. I sprinted back into the garden and stood dead still. I fell to the ground, and a few tears seeped out of my eyes. Then I heard another noise and I spun round. I wiped away the tears.

The noise seemed to be coming from the shed.

I walked towards it and could see a light coming from it. I cautiously stepped towards it but it was silent. I stepped to the side of the door but just as I was about to look inside I heard a blood curdling scream. Someone was in immense pain and I shuddered at the thought. I fell back and must have knocked something over because I heard a "Shh" from someone in the shed. I froze and the light from the shed turned off and there was silence.

I must have been sitting there for more than ten minutes, maybe more. I slowly stood up and peaked into the shed from the corner. No one was there. I my eyes were more adjusted to the darkness but I still had a proper check. Then something moved. I froze again. The cat shot out and brushed past me. Then the light flicked on again but all I saw was two red eyes before I blacked out.

hope you enjoyed that sorry toend it on a cliff hanger but I should upload quite soon :) by the way could everyone please tell me their favoiurite character, I'm just curious ;)
