Chloe's POV

I yawned. "Ah, another beautiful day" I sighed looking out the window. Well, I'd better head downstairs and find the others. I began to plod down the steps but as I did so someone grabbed me from behind. WHAT! I spun round to see it was Asketel. "What are you...?" I began but he covered my mouth with his hand before I could say a word more. I tried to pull it off but he just ignored me and began to whisper.

"Chloe, you have to listen to me. Mags is bad...BAD." I pulled my hand away and thought I may as well whisper back in case this was true. "How do you know that... more to it how can you prove that." He shivered and spoke "Two ways. But one is a bit worse than the other." I bit my lip "then show me the worst one first." He looked down at the ground with sorrow in his eyes and began to roll up his sleeve. On his arm was an enormous scar. But It almost looked blue...unnatural. My eyes widened. He could be telling the truth. What if Mags had done this to him?! What would she do to the rest of us?!

"So". He continued, "Do you want to see the more believable evidence." I nodded and he got a folded up piece of paper out of his pocket. He handed me the crumpled mess. Hold on, this was Tristan's leaving note. "What? Mags drove Tristan away!" I said shocked at the idea. He sighed "No look down the side, like an acrostic poem." I scanned down the note and sure enough Asketel was right. It did spell something.

Help Mags is evil.

Those painful words struck me and tears were almost welling up. What did she do to Tristan? Did she kill him?! "Look, Tristan is fine." Asketel reassured "I rescued him the other day. He was trapped in an endless pit, but he's ok now." I sighed with relief. I shook my head and suddenly realised how much I really liked Tristan. He was such a good friend...Speaking of good friends where's Seth and Destiny for that matter? "Hey where are the others?" I questioned.

"Mags went out to town for a while so that gives us a chance to escape. Seth and destiny are already round the front and Tristan..." He began to fade "Yes. Tristan, where is he?" Asketel sighed "I can't tell you, you'll see him later, but he doesn't want to see you right now." OK? I thought...maybe he's just been through a lot and wanted to stay away from everyone, or maybe he's afraid Mags will find him, either way It was up to him. "Right!" Asketel perked up. What happened to the whispering I'll never know? "You'd better go get your stuff and we can leave this place once and for all."

Yeah. I guess. I think I'm really gonna miss this place when we're gone. Obviously Mags is evil and if she did do anything terrible to Tristan...I mean looking at Asketel's arm who knows what kind of psycho demon she was. Well I just hope that everyone else is ok too. Hold on! Asketel knew that Tristan had gone missing. That was why he looked so sad when he went back inside his room the other day. Well at least everyone is better now. I hope.

I plodded back up stairs and noticed the hard floor again. No more luxurious carpet. Hmm, I wonder. Why did Mags have a great down stairs and a worse upstairs? I never found out. My eyes widened as a thought hit my head. What if she Lures people into her home with her flashy inside and beautiful garden and eats them or something. Ha, now I'm turning into Tristan. She probably lost all her money and only had enough to do up the downstairs.

I grabbed all the stuff I needed or wanted and shoved it into my bag. Admittedly I didn't have that much stuff anyway so it wasn't too bad. I smiled and trudged downstairs at the thought of us all going on a big adventure. I'm sure it would be pretty tough but we were in it together now and I'm determined to get through it all. Whatever comes.
