Seth's POV
What?! This girl is just waltzing into the house expecting me to act perfectly normally. "Who are you?" She gave me a puzzled look. "Didn't I just tell you? I'm Destiny Robertson." I rolled my eyes. I have got supersensitive hearing you know. I mean, what are you doing here? I want to know why..." Suddenly I was cut off by Mags entering the room. "Ahh, you must be Destiny Robertson. So glad you got here ok." I stood there stunned as Mags casually walked up to Destiny and ushered her in.
"Now Seth, Why don't take Destiny upstairs so she can meet Chloe and Asketel. Who knows where Tristan is." Destiny Frowned "Who is Asketel and who's Tristan?" Mags smiled "no need to worry. They'll just be joining you on your quest." She calmly replied.
As we stepped upstairs I could hear music coming from Tristan and Asketel's room. I walked up to the door and knocked. Me and Destiny stood outside for about 5 minutes before Asketel finally opened the door. "Umm, Asketel, this is Destiny, Destiny, this is Asketel." I introduced them both and was puzzled as they just stood there staring at each other, but I couldn't quite work out their expressions.
Destiny's POV
I stood there staring at him, my heart pounding against my chest. Could he be the one. He was so beautiful; dark deep eyes, gorgeous hair and a wonderful smile. No, I mentally shook my head, he was working for them. Yet there was also something else about him. I had a familiar feeling about him. Whatever it
Was, it was strong.
"So..." Seth said as he trailed off, "how about we meet Chloe then". We all turned round and walked next door. Seth knocked on the door, No reply. He opened the door and peeked inside. I peered in and from what I could see she was asleep. Seth backed off and quietly shut the door. "Sorry you can't see her, it's just she's asleep."
We headed downstairs but about half way down we heard Maggie yell for Seth. Immediately we all rushed downstairs to see what the rush was all about. She handed Seth a piece of paper. He began scanning it and his eyes widened, then he smirked "Very funny Tristan, I think you've already given Mags a big enough shock already." He looked around the room "come on". Asketel stepped closer to him, brushing my shoulder as he did so "sorry" he turned to me and then went over to Seth.
I felt my heart skip a beat as my heart was filled with love and my gut full of butterflies. Asketel examined the letter and stepped into the garden. "Tristan" he yelled, but no reply. "Umm, what exactly is going on?" I asked. Seth handed me the note:
Heya,
Even though we've been through a lot...
Look I just couldn't bear it anymore...
Please forgive me for this but I'm leaving
Maybe you're wondering why I'm leaving
And why it's all so sudden...
Guess...
Sorry, that was a bit stupid
I'm leaving because of me
Seriously, It's all my fault, everything
Enough of my gittyness, I'm irresponsible
Very soon you will be free of all that
I think it's just best for us all...
Love you (as a friend)
Tristan x
Weird letter, this guy called Tristan has left? Just like that? Something's not right. I sniffed the air to see if anything strange came up but I was suddenly hit with a stranger smell. It smelt like...me?! I mean, It was someone the same as me, the same type of demon. I looked around and stared at Asketel. No he couldn't be? I sniffed the air again, and sure enough it was the same scent. He was one of us. At least I think he was.
I handed Seth back the note and followed them as they stepped outside. "This doesn't make sense" said Seth as he bit his lip. I mean all of his stuff is still upstairs." He paused "Why would he leave, just like that, he can't even talk to anyone out there, not yet at least." Maggie walked up to him "Well the spell usually wears off in about a week or two." Seth sighed. I looked around and Asketel was standing away from the other two. He looked distant and worried about something. I wonder what was troubling him.
"Well we have to tell Chloe, and Destiny needs somewhere to stay anyway" said Seth as we all trudged back into the house. Time sped by as I met Chloe and stayed in the room sitting on the bed whilst everyone else was downstairs talking about Tristan.
I sighed. I'm really starting to like these guys. I don't just mean Asketel either. The others are all great. I can't believe that they're working for the blood demons. It's too weird. I sighed again and just at that moment someone walked in. It was Chloe. She sighed and sat down on bed next to me.
"Sorry about all that, It's just, Tristan was a good friend and it was a bit of a shock for him to just leave like that." I smiled at her "I'm sure he'll come back, or at least contact you." She gave me a weak smile back and walked upstairs to the bathroom. I knew she knew I was lying. Yet it was the only way to cheer her up, at least a bit anyway.
As I got in bed the wind was howling outside and it was a cold night. I got deeper into the duvet and tried not to think about the darkness and deaths that will come, but closed my eyes and dreamt of Asketel, maybe my one true love...My soul mate if you like.
