Tristan's POV

Ok, deep breaths Tristan...deep breaths. Why the hell, did Asketel just turn into a cat! I picked up the black kitten and placed him on the desk. Right...what should I do?! I mean, Asketel just turned into a cat before my eyes. Obviously I couldn't go back into the house for help. Come on, hi everyone I was just sucked into a black portal because Mags pushed me in, but I'm alright now because somehow Asketel opened the portal and turned into a cat, so what's dinner then.

Yeah, somehow or other I don't think they'll believe me...or...Mags will murder me and Asketel. So If I couldn't tell them...well what was I going to do! I heard a shuffle behind me and my question was answered as Asketel morphed from a cat back into a human. Wait! My heart skipped a beat as I quickly thought of something. What if he comes back naked or something?! I mean...It's not like his clothes would just mould back as part of his skin or anything! Well I my question was answered as Asketel transformed back into his normal self.

Phew. He was wearing clothes...although I'm not entirely sure how that happened. "Asketel?" I questioned "Are you alright? What happened why did you..." He covered my mouth with his hand and I stopped talking as he pulled it off. "Tristan be quiet" He whispered. Yeh well that's easy for you, you barley talk anyway. "Look we need to get out of here; I explain when we get further away.

I followed him as we tiptoed out of the shed and across the lawn. We stepped onto the path and round the corner before coming to a bench. We sat down and he explained everything and I mean everything!

"So" He began "as you've probably worked out, I can turn into a cat." I nodded "Well, I can do that whenever I like but if I ever get too weak then I can also change." He sighed "If, I have a sudden surge of power or have summoned up some strength, I have the ability to turn into a panther." Woah, I thought as my eyes widened. "Yep" he continued "Cat when I'm weak...panther when I'm strong." He smiled.

"So you know the other day when you were drowning in the shower. Well I transformed into a cat used all my energy to break that barrier that was surrounding you. Then I leapt out the window so you wouldn't see me." I bit my lip. So it was Asketel that was the dark shadow...wow...

"Anyhow, I needed to regain energy but because Mags was in the front room I couldn't go out here to regain my energy so I sprinted into the shed where no-one would see me." Holy shi...this is all coming into place. "So as you know when you came downstairs and Mags took you outside to the shed, I was there. She caught me and was later going to torture me but... you came out later and saved me." Right?

"Well, she caught you and yeah you know that part and later caught me anyway..." He trailed off as I saw the sorrow in his eyes. Mags must have done something really bad. "Then you properly met me, and all that. The next day when you and Chloe were on the bench, well I came in my cat form and scratched you. Then you could talk again."

I gave him a puzzled look. "The only way to get out of that spell is to endure physical pain, like drawing blood, so I scratched you." I was still puzzled "How come I didn't get it back when I was drowning?" "You really didn't have any physical pain as such, I mean you literally have to have some affects that you can see. That's why Mags didn't stab you or anything, also because she didn't want it to make her look evil."

I sighed "Well...What do I do now?" He frowned "I didn't exactly think that out" I sighed again "I guess I'll just have to find a hotel or something" Asketel frowned yet again "Can you do that at your age?" Oh yeah...I sniggered. "I guess I'll just have to find out...or we could finish Mags now" Asketel hung his head "Tristan unless you have an immense amount of power deep inside of you then I very much doubt we'll be able to defeat her, and what do you think Chloe will have to say, and Seth and Destiny..."

I interrupted him " So it's our destiny not to defeat her?" Asketel giggled "Of course, you haven't met her yet, there's a girl called Destiny who's joining us on our quest." Oh...well should I tell him that I may be able to summon up that amount of power...As long as Chloe didn't see me like that then it would be ok...I guess? I sighed and turned to properly face Asketel. "There's something I need to tell you, and you must promise not to tell anyone else...I don't want them to know." Asketel stared at me "Why not?" I looked down...I just, I just...don't want you too. It may be the only way of defeating Mags."
