Harley's POV

Ivy had basically transformed Mistah J's lab into a greenhouse. Mistah J hated dodging a potted plant at everything turn. However, Ivy, being the environmental person she is, insisted that all natural ingredients were the best. Then she would go into some rant about mankind and all its man-made poisons. Then, when a concoction didn't work, Mistah J would call her a Green Witch, to which she would normally storm off to the guest room until Mistah J would apologize. That's not a trait that comes easy for The Joker. Yet, Mistah J would apologize to her in a roundabout way and convince her to return to the lab. This routine had been going on for weeks.

There seemed to be no end in sight. It was as if every potential medication that Ivy created just somehow didn't work, well, didn't work on Mistah J's lab rats. But none of the rats carried PH760-9 in their blood. Ivy had isolated the compound and given it to several of the rats, but none could survive it. So Mistah J would get mad and have to be restrained by his own goons to keep him from wringing Ivy's neck.

The two of them were tremoultuous. There were words spoken hourly that rubbed one or the other the wrong way. There was something being thrown and broken at least twice a day, broken glass, pottery, and plant soil littered the floor of the lab. It was no wonder to me why nothing was being accomplished. Some days I wanted to shoot Thorazine into both their jugulars.

All the stress on Mistah J was compounding his psychiatric disorders. In fact, calling him  Mistah J all the time is inaccurate. After weeks and weeks of hypnosis I can see the difference in his  personalities. For the most part they were already integrated, as they were all aware of each other. Together they were The Joker, and  he had always been able to draw what he needed, when he needed from each. They each had their own specific jobs to do.

The most dominant personality, Boss, was the side of him that made most of the major decisions relating to business. Boss spoke in a low growl. He never raised his voice because he didn't need to. Just the way he lowered his head slightly and glared with hollow eyes was enough to get his point across. He didn't smile, not ever. He was 100% business, 100% of the time. He was very educated, very well spoken, and was always poised. He was the plotter, the planner, and the schemer. He was the side that was always one step ahead of the game. The side with the hypothetical 'super sanity'.

Then there was J. He was the side of The Joker that had a bloodlust that couldn't be sated. He was the side that was nothing but anger. J showed no weakness, and wouldn't  tolerate it. J was the side that would  kill you for looking at him the wrong way. He was the unrelenting side, the side that never stops until a goal is achieved. Failure was unacceptable, it was weakness. He was the instigator that tempted his opponents. He was the daredevil. J was the most combative of The Joker's personalities. He also had the most acute senses of all the personalities, best vision, hearing, sense of smell, steadier hands and sharper reflexes. He was very proficient in both hand to hand combat as well as weaponry.

Then there was Mistah J. The one with the playfully higher pitched voice. Mistah J was the always smiling, always laughing clown that enjoyed creating havoc simply for  his entertainment. He was The Joker's sarcastic court jester that always makes bad jokes and tried to find the humor in everything. He was extremely creative. He was the prankster who turned party gag gifts, like spraying carnations and hand buzzers, into lethal weapons. Like the other two, Mistah J had no fear, but was oddly enough the one most likely to compromise. Mistah J also appeared to be the side with a libedo. The other two had no time for something as trivial and  meaningless as sex. Mistah J however was the flirty and playful  side that could charm anyone. He was the side that I liked the most. He was the fun side.

And then there was Jack. He was soft spoken and had a very calm temperment. Jack was capable of being an understanding person who was capable of establishing relationships, like friendship, family, and romance. Jack, for the most part, stayed buried by the other three. The reason for this being that Jack was the one that was being protected by them. Jack was the beginning. Jack was the man himself. He was the answer to it all. Jack was the only side that had compassion. He was the only one capable of love. He was the only side that had any humanity left. It was Jack that was causing the unbalance that The Joker was experiencing. Since learning about the baby it's Jack that is fighting to make sure that the child has a shot in life. It was Jack that had made love to me and impregnated me.

It was Jack that The Joker knew he had to become. The entire point of his wanting an antipsychotic medication was to bring out Jack. The Joker already knew Jack was the only one that was no threat to his heir. Without the medication his alters fought against Jack's control. And the battle was making The Joker dangerously unstable. During  our sessions now he always requests to be restrained because his alters become combative. It had gotten to the point that Johnny could no longer control him during the hypnosis.

"HARLEY!!"

My thoughts are broken off to someone screaming my name. It was Ivy and it sounded like it was coming from the lab. I rush to the lab and through the door. I find her pressed to the wall by her throat. I  start to go toward them when Johnny grabs me and holds me back.

I quickly look at who's holding Ivy there to the wall. His wide playful smile and happy cackle tells me it's Mistah J. "What's going on Mistah J?" I ask.

He gleams at me, "This?" His high pitched tone asks, "This is nothing  more than your dear good friend Ivy getting what she deserves. HaHaHa."

"W-what did she do?" I ask.

"I didn't do anything! He took my latest sample and injected himself  with it! Then he went completely crazy! He started arguing with himself like a madman! Then he started looking at me like some wild rapist! I told him it wasn't ready!" Ivy gasps under his strong grasp.

"Oh you you you...you should have thought about side effects hahaha!" He laughs in her face.

"I did you idiot! I told you it wasn't ready!" Ivy protests grabbing his wrist with both hands.

I prepared myself to play the mediator, not knowing how unstable his personalities might be right now. "Mistah J, you have to let her go. You need her, remember?" I  carefully say.

Mistah J let's go of Ivy and smiles at me, "Doc-tor...mmmm," his eyes prowl my body, "what I need right now is you beautiful." He starts to saunter over to me. He licks his lips and can't keep his eyes off my chest.

I blush, "I'm flattered Mistah J, but I  think we need to sedate you until Ivy can figure out what happened here."

"What happened? HAHAHA!! I'll tell you what happened, her all natural plant remedy bullshit is causing me a rather... pleasing side effect." He shows his metal teeth in a huge smile.

"Side effect? What side effect?" I  ask Ivy.

"Mmmm," Mistah J moans and rests his hands on my hips. His eyes take in my body, "It would be sooo much more entertaining to  show you Harley girl." He presses himself into me and I can feel his erection at my stomach.

I smile and look at Ivy, waiting for a  more in depth explanation. She shrugs and rolls his eyes, "Apparently the afridesiac qualities of the plants I combined got to him."

"HaHaHa! That's a very scientific way to put it doctor Isley! But I think 'hard as a rock' is a better explanation of the situation," he laughs looking down at his pants. I  watch as his hand slides across the countertop. He quickly grabs a stun gun and stuns Johnny. Then he turns to Ivy and stuns her too.

He peers at me with a wide grin and tosses the stun gun over his shoulder. The way he looked at me changed to something with a primal animalistic need. Normally this would be something I longed for, but due to the instability of his split personalities, I'm admittedly scared. He takes a step for me and I take a step back.

"Ooooh, don't be scared Harley girl, I'm not gonna hurt'cha. I just wanna  have some fun with you," he grabs me suddenly and throws me over his shoulder. "HAHAHA! HaHaHa!!"
