CHAPTER 2- You're My Guardian Angel

Floating mid air, a Fox Goddess felt something. It wasn't the kind of feeling that she gets when a tree is being cut, an animal being killed, or a forest being burned. It was different. It's the first time that she felt something like this. It came from inside her chest and it was foreign.

She floated around and looked for the cause of the weird thing that's growing in her chest. Then, she heard something moving. From afar, she could hear noises. She turned towards the source of the noise, then she saw something. It was her first to see those things before. She moved closer to examine the view. There were lights, lots of lights. It's her first time to see the forest this bright at night time. Then, somebody caught her attention. It was a man with a shoulder length blonde hair. He's walking away from the noises. The Reve Gudinne felt a certain force field that seemed to drag her closer to the man. As she approached the man's direction, she was rushed by images and voices.

"I love you too. I'm sorry I lied to you. Calle was right I lied to you. I never loved you. I will never come back. I don't love you!" she heard those words while seeing random images of a girl. She just saw a part of the man's memory. She didn't know she could do that. Then, the feeling in her chest became stronger and stronger. She was drawn closer and closer to the man. Then, she realized what the man wanted to do. He wants to jump off the cliff. As the man was on the air falling towards the raging river, the Reve Gudinne met him halfway. She's a spirit so even if she caught the man, it didn't stopped him from falling to the river.

The man fell into the freezing water with a huge splash. He sank into the bottom and then he resurfaced. He was taken by the strong current of water to the rocky part of the river. His lifeless body smashed to the rocks and to everything that's blocking the water way. He continued to float with the current until his body got stucked in a big dead log that lies across the river together with other debris. The water current was crushing his body as it refused to follow where the water was going.

Vegard was driving on the road. He's just a few kilometers away from his house now. He decided to call Bård to check if he's on the road or something. He's house is farther from the taping site than Vegard's. The other line rang but no one answered. Vegard tried again, but still no answer. He called another staff to check if Bård's car was still there. The staff said that the car was still there but he don't see Bård. Then, something just dawned on Vegard.

"Keep safe." Vegard repeated. That was weird enough to come from his brother's mouth. He suddenly went cold.

"What if...no!" Vegard said and stopped the car. He texted Helene.

'I have to come back to the site. I'm sorry, I'll be back as soon as I'm finished. I love you.'

Vegard then turned his car around and went back to the forest where they shoot the video.

"Bård, you better be ok." Vegard said.

He felt nervous. Bård might do a stupid thing. He sped the car up as he prayed for Bård's safety.

The Reve Gudinne followed the man's body as it floats on the water. When the body got stuck on a log, she moved closer and examined it. The man has full of bruises and cuts in the face. Some of his hair were scattered in his unsubmerged face while some were in the water moving with the current's direction. His head was caught by a branch and it stayed unsubmerged while the rest of his body was completely soaked in the water. His eyes were shut and his mouth was slightly open. The Reve Gudinne was hovering above the man's body. She tried to touch the man's face but her hand just went through him. She just stared at him again and then she finally knew what to do.

She leaned down to the man's face. She prepared herself for what was going to happen. Then, without any more delay, something shining came out from her mouth. It's so bright that it illuminated the surroundings. It's bluish flare made it look like a small speck of a star from the universe. It's the Reve Gudinne's bead. With the man's slightly open mouth, the bead found it's way inside his body. As soon as the bead entered the man, the whole surrounding went back to black. On the other hand, the hovering Reve Gudinne is now standing on the big log where the man's body was suspended. She looked solid and not transparent anymore. Her nine tails were gone, and without her tails she really looked like a human. She has blue eyes and long black hair. She's wearing a white dress that goes just a little below her knee.

The Reve Gudinne felt different. She had turned into a human. She tried to touch the man's face again and she did, she actually did! She looked at her hands and was amazed that she can now touch things, and other people. Then, paying back to the man, with her fox strength, she pulled the man from the log where he's stuck and carried him to the grassy ground.
