CHAPTER 14- Out of Control

A/N: Ebonne is in this Chapter. If you had read Broken Inside, you will remember that she was Bård's ex-girlfriend. For those who did not, I'll tell you a little about her. They broke up because Ebonne had a greater opportunity abroad so she left him in Norway. She's already a public figure so everyone in Norway know her.

Bård's phone rang.

"Yep?" He answered.

"Um, Ebonne is back in Norway." Calle informed Bård.

"Great. What does it have to do with me?" Bård asked.

"She's kind of spreading the news that...you're back together." Calle hesitated.

"What?! I've never seen her for almost 3 years and now we're back together? She's kidding." Bård said. Why would Ebonne do that? He asked himself.

"I know but you're a hot topic here in Norway and every reporter wants to ask you and confirm if this is true. And by the way they're bugging me too."

"Seriously? They believe her?" Bård asked in his that's-unbelievable-tone.

"Sounds like. Well, I just called to keep you updated about what is happening here in Norway. Don't get shocked if reporters bombard you with lots of questions when you come back here." Calle warned Bård.

Bård let out a sigh. "Okay. Thanks." He said.

"Don't forget to bring me something from Singapore when you come back here okay?" Calle added.

"Okay. I'll hang up now. Bye." And the line ended. Bård tossed his phone to the sofa. Vegard saw it.

"From Norway?" Vegard asked.

"Calle." Bård replied.

"What happened?"

"Ebonne's back spreading news that we're back together. She's joking." Bård said and heaved in a deep breath.

"So that's what Helene meant when she said you're becoming a hot topic back home." Vegard said.

"Helene told you?" Bård asked while looking up his brother.

"Last night. I thought it was connected with this MAMA thing but it turns out that it's not." Vegard explained.

"Good luck to me then." Bård picked dup his phone and scrolled for Norwegian showbiz news. It's true, they made the headlines.

"Why are they making a big deal out of this? It's been almost three years for goodness sake!" Bård said exasperated.

"Maybe because your break-up was popular and controversial, plus, you're going worldwide and with all the fame, they need big news to match your popularity." Vegard theorized.

"It's a lame idea. Better spread news about me committing suicide because a girl just left me." Bård slipped his tongue. Vegard gave him a scrutinizing look. Bård just realized what he said.

"What?" Vegard asked him.

"Joking." Bård said hoping that Vegard wouldn't ask him any further.

Vegard sighed.

"Not funny. Not funny Bård." Vegard said.

"Hey, here's your juice!" Reve entered the room and gave them their juice.

"So, you finally learned how to use the vending machine?" Bård changed the topic and grabbed his juice.

"No, I asked someone to do that for me." She said happily.
