CHAPTER 26- The Time Has to Stop

A/N: Sorry for the late update guys but here it is :)

Bård slowly approached Reve's direction. Reve noticed him and looked up.

"Hey." Bård asked. She was still sitting in that corner.

"Yeah?" Reve said and gave the best smile she could fake.

"You okay?" Bård asked.

"Never better." Reve lied.

"I think we have to talk." Bård said in a serious tone.

"About what?" Reve asked innocently.

"Take us somewhere private." Bård said.

"I can't. I only have one tail now. I'm too weak to use my powers." Reve said.

"Well, let's just go then, I'll take you somewhere private." Bård said as he held her hand. Reve looked at their entwined hands.

Then, she looked at Bård's face and asked "Is this really important?"

"Yes." Bård said as they went towards his car. They got inside the car and Bård started the engine.

There was silence inside the car. After a few minutes, the car stopped in front of a park. It's snowing hard and it's getting dark so the park looked almost deserted.

"Put this on." Bård said as he gave Reve her coat and scarf. He put his coat and scarf on too. Bård was about to get off the car when he noticed that Reve didn't put her coat and scarf on. She just stared at him, wondering what's happening.

"Here you go." Bård said and helped her put on her coat. He grabbed her scarf and wrapped it around her neck.

"There. It will keep you warm." Bård said and went outside.

Reve opened the car's door and went outside too.

"What's the big deal?" Reve asked. Bård did not answer. He went towards a bench and wiped the thin layer of snow on it.

"Come on. Let's sit here." Bård said. Reve followed Bård and sat beside him.

They just sat there silently and watched the snow falling. The surroundings became darker and darker. A few minutes later, the night lights turned on. The park is beautiful at night with the lights and the snow. It looked enchanted.

"I can't hear your thoughts anymore." Reve spoke and broke the silence as she raised her right hand and tried to catch some snow.

"It's okay. Humans don't hear thoughts." Bård said.

"But I'm a Reve Gudinne." Reve said.

"You're a human now." Bård said as he as well tried to catch some snow on his hand.

Reve looked at him. Bård put down his hand and looked down.

"I'm sorry." Bård said.

"Why are you saying sorry?" Reve asked, confused.

"Listen to me, I'm going to tell you a story." Bård said as he looked at her.

"What is this all about?" Reve asked. She's getting scared of the weirdness of the whole thing.

"Just listen." Bård said.

"Is this about you dying and me being a human? Are you turning back?" Reve asked.

"I thought you said it's inevitable?" Bård asked in return.

"Yeah it is." Reve replied as she looked down.

"Well, this is not about that." Bård said.

"Then what?" Reve asked nervously.

Bård pulled something in his pocket. It's a pair of gloves. He put them on Reve's hand. Reve just looked at him, confused.
