"Wait, you can't go!"

Redfur's words rang loud and clear in Skypaw' s ears. It had been a moon since she had last encountered Hawkfrost. One moon since Redfur had spoke those words.

Sorrow and worry shadowed Skypaw's eyes as she stood on the edge of Thunderpath. She had trailed Smokeclaw to here. The musty disgusting Shadowclan scent wafted from the other side as a few monsters rumbled lazily by, not paying the slightest bit of attention to her.

She turned and padded to a tree, scaling it with ease. She sat on a high branch, watching the other side for any signs of Smokeclaw. Talonblaze had given her a day off because of his kits. There was three toms and two shes. A big litter of five!

The toms were called Ashkit, Rubblekit and Stonekit. The shes were Darkkit and Lightkit. They were all grey but had different patterns and eye colours.

Skypaw smiled, her memories flickering to what happened with Redfur. Her heart twisted. He was in danger and he was gone. She couldn't just leave but...

{*FlashBack*}
(Skypaw P.O.V)

I sat just outside of camp, propped up by a log I had found. My azure gaze was fixed on the cyan sky that had clouds meandering around. Redfur, Nightstream and Talonblaze had all gone on a patrol.

My ear flicked as speaking sounded from nearby. I got to my paws and padded swiftly over, ducking behind a tree.

"So you thought you could escape me?" A malevolent snarl sounded. It was cruel and bloodcurdling.

"Of course not, it was bound to happen." A familiar voice mewed nonchalantly.

I peered around the tree to see a two familiar felines and one unknown one. A black and white Tom stood by a red furred one, glaring at a dark stone grey tom.

The darker coloured tom wore a cold unpleasant smirk that sent shivers down my spine. He was smirking hungrily, like a fox does to its prey.

"Back off Statute" Redfur snapped, claws unsheathed.

"You won't get Skypaw" Nightstream hissed, tail lashing. "And Hawkfrost or the other DeadStar cats wouldn't allow it!"

"Hn, I'll find a way" The Tom called Statue snapped, tail swishing in the air and eyes dark with hate.

This was the one Redfur had been scared of. But now Redfur looks furious.

"Well, she is just over there" Statue mewed, flicking his tail to the tree I was hidden behind.

'How in starclan' s name did he know I was here?!'

I took some pawsteps back but stepped on a twig. The crack was a deafening noise. It rattled all around the forest. I flinched, tortoiseshell fur bristling.

'Run' Hawkfrost hissed into my ear

I didn't need telling twice. I darted. My paws pounded the earth and sent leaves and mud flying, hopefully hitting the Tom that was chasing.

I heard heavy pawsteps behind me and tried to run even faster.

"Stop Brat!" I heard a snarl from behind. Statute's  voice. It was gravelly and cold.

I leapt for camp but was tackled hard to the ground. The tom pinned me down and I hissed.

I saw Statue' s face clearer now. It was covered in scars and his ears had many nicks in them. His eyes were deep intense grey that seemed to stare into your very soul. To be honest, it was threatening and made me feel a cold feeling run down my spine.

"Back off Fleabag!" I snapped, propelling my hind paws with unsheathed claws into the tom's stomach. He dropped off me and I went to attack again but Redfur was there, practically defending the Tom.

"Move Redfur" Nightstream snapped but the red furred warrior stood, head bowed.

"No Nightstream. We always said that it would be all four of us to kill him. I can't allow Skypaw to kill dad. " Redfur snarled back, tail lashing.

"Dad?" I mewed, taking a step back.

"It's complicated " Nightstream mewed, glaring at Redfur.

A soft hiss sounded from a Bush and I turned to see three felines emerging. One was a white she with black front paws and blue eyes. The others were smokey grey tabbys but one had silver eyes and the other had gold.

"The two royal sons. " The female hissed, grinning ear to ear with her claws unsheathed. "How nice to see your sorry faces"

The toms behind her chuckled and whispered  each other. Nightstream's face contorted into fury and rage.

"It's rude to whisper Smokey and Thunderstorm" A soft, cold and familiar voice said. It was  Hawkfrost' s. And it was dangerously low.

The toms went rigid with fright. The she whipped around to glare. I merely smirked.

"Hello Hawkfrost" Nightstream mewed in a cheeky tone, smirking at the shecat. "Skypaw, go back to camp."

"Wait, you can't leave" Redfur snarled.

I narrowed my eyes as he kicked his father before stalking over to me. I felt a pelt brush against mine and saw the familiar brown fur.

"But I am and I will" I retorted, stepping away.

'You should run' Hawkfrost whispered and I darted again.

Redfur hissed, lashing out at me but I narrowly evaded. Something was wrong. As I glanced back I noticed that his eyes were blood red. He was being controlled. Nightstream and Redfur were in danger.

And I just ran...
{*End Flashback*}

I sighed, wondering what to do. Nightstream had returned okay but Redfur was still out there. Somewhere...
