"Hey Hoseok, what's this engraved on the band of my engagement ring?" I squinted as I tried to make out the small symbols on the inside of the ring.
Hoseok chuckled, drying his hands on the towel and making his way over to me. He stared at the band for a minute, a slight smirk on his lips. "Are you blind or stupid?"
"What?" His question caught me off guard.
Hoseok laughed again. "Can you read what it says?"
I squinted again, making out the numbers, seperated by dashes. "I mean, it's numbers."
Hoseok shook his head disapprovingly. "Okay, so you're stupid." I couldn't help but feel slightly offended. He took the ring gently between his fingers. "It's a date."
"I can see that, babe. I don't know what the date symbolizes! It's not our anniversary, it's neither of our birthdays."
Hoseok sighed, handing the ring back to me. He made his way back into the kitchen to finish drying the dishes. The way he pursed his lips and the silence that filled the space made me sure that he was getting annoyed. I knew I should drop the subject, but clearly the date meant something to him, and I needed to know why it was so important to have it engraved on my engagement ring.
I took a deep breath before I walked up behind my fiancè, wrapping my arms around his waist. I pressed the side of my cheek against his shoulder blade. My voice was gentle as I spoke. "I'm sorry babe. I'm awful at dates, so I'm sure I'm missing something important. I just want to know why it is so important."
Hoseok set down the plate he was drying, turning around to face me. His eyes bore into mine. He no longer seemed angry, more upset. He huffed, his eyes wandering around the room for a split second before returning to meet my gaze. "You dumbass."
I released a breathy chuckle when I saw the slight twitch of a smile of his face. "What?"
He shook his head again, wrapping his arms around my waist, neither of us caring that they were dripping wet from the water. "The date on the ring is the day that we met at BigHit."
Realization dawned on me as the details all came rushing back. The sweat dripping from Hoseok's forehead, the way his figure was built to perfection. His hand had fit around mine beautifully when we shook hands. The man I had admired from afar.
"Oh my God." My cheeks flushed as I tried to contain the smile and happiness that flooded me. "Hoseok, baby, that's so sweet." I put my hands on his cheeks, the smile bright on my face by this point.
Hoseok released some air through his nose as his lips turned upwards, turning quickly into the shape of a heart as he smiled. "I wanted to remember the date for the rest of our lives. I mean it when I say that seeing you in the hallway that day, I knew I would marry you."
"The funny thing is, Hoseok... I felt the exact same way." I stood on the tips of my toes, my lips pressing against his, the all-too-familiar shocks of electricity, passion, love, shoot down my spine.

I just heard the word "daddy" instead of "today" while looking at pictures of Namjoon's chest.Update: I also heard "tit" instead of "tip"
A shorter fluffy? Filler chapter because I forgot to include the detail about the ring in the last chapter lolol
