Please be more patient than usual for the next few weeks for updates on all of my works. Those who know me know that I have been struggling with a strained shoulder and some joint problems, and have been doing physical therapy for a few weeks. They added in armbands to my PT this past week, which is good, except that it has caused my pain to go back to the level it was at about two months ago. I am a musician and need my shoulder fully functioning (as best as can be, I suppose) by the time I go back to college in about two-three months, so I need to focus on my recovery. I have also been sick a lot recently and have had a difficult time getting better due to the stress of my injury and my summer classes. I will update every few days, but it will be rare for me to update more often than that, at least for this story where the chapters are longer.

Thank you everyone for reading this, even though I think it's been slacking lately, and thank you all for being patient with me while I recover.

I hope you enjoy this update! 😊

The ring felt heavy on my finger, in every perfect way possible. It was a weird feeling, and I constantly found myself spinning the ring around on my finger. It had become a sort of anxiety release. It calmed me down.

"Yoongi! Are you going to get off your ass and help me or just let me do it all myself?" Taehyung pouted as he picked up another box, grunting as he took a few steps, exiting the apartment.

I groaned as I hoisted myself up, grabbing the closest box, labeled 'Gucci' and carried it to Jungkook's truck, which sat in the parking lot outside of our apartment. My heart ached at the thought of my best friend leaving me to move in with another guy after we've lived together for so many years. I was happy for him, of course, but I wasn't looking forward to being alone all of the time.

We loaded up a few more boxes, most of Taehyung's stuff already being at Jungkook's, and I turned to face my best friend, who looked at me with slightly bloodshot eyes.

I took the few steps seperating us and wrapped my arms around him tightly, Taehyung immediately squeezing back. "Tae, thank you for being the absolute best best friend I could ever ask for."

Taehyung sniffled into my shoulder. "How could I be the absolute best when that's what you are? There can only be one trophy given, so we'll have to fight for the death until a winner is declared."

I chuckled, tightening my grip even more, my head buried into his shoulder. "I'll miss you, pal."

"We'll see each other like every day at work, Yoongi."

"Yes, but it'll be different." I pulled back, my hand on his cheek. I heard Jungkook cough loudly behind us, and I shot him a glare before sliding my hand to Taehyung's shoulder. "I love you, Tae. Don't let anyone dull your sparkle."

Taehyung giggled while wiping his tears. He gave me one more quick hug before running to Jungkook, who embraced his crying boyfriend.

As I watched Taehyung leave in Jungkook's truck, I was washed over with a sense of loneliness and emptiness. I hadn't been on my own in a while, and for good reason. I was left alone with my thoughts, and it was dangerous. It had led to the many scars that littered my fragile skin, leaving me starving and broken until Taehyung had come and bandaged me back together.

I entered the apartment, the living room looking virtually the same as before, except it was coated in an air of desolation. I sighed as I sat down on the sofa, sitting criss-cross while I flipped through the channels.

The silence was too much.

My mind was unraveling, thoughts becoming too overwhelming. My eyes frantically searched for a way to shut everything off, and they landed on my cell phone. My lips turned upwards slightly as I reached towards the coffee table. My thumb instantly pressed the contact of the person I so desperately desired to talk to.

He picked up on only the second ring, a hint of excitement in his voice. "Hey babe. What's up?"

I sniffled a little, trying to show how unstable I was at this given moment. "Taehyung... h-he just left and it's too quiet."

I heard Hoseok chuckle before some soft shuffling was heard. "Oh? Well we can't have that, now can we?"

"I-I don't like the quiet."

The doorbell ringing startled me, making me almost jump off of the couch. I stood up, contemplating on who would be at the door.

"Well I guess it's a good thing you won't be alone now!" Hoseok's words made my heart leap out of excitement as I ran to the door. I threw it open and saw Hoseok with a wide smile on his face and bags on his arms. He hung up his phone before pecking my cheek.

"Am I the best boyfriend or what?"

I chuckled sarcastically, nudging him a little bit, making him burst out into a fit of laughter.

"So what's in the bags?" I pointed to the numerous bags Hoseok still carried on his arms.

"Oh! Right." He set the bags down on the counter, opening them up. "I am going to cook for you, and then we are going on a date."

"Hmm, does that hot date involve you taking your pants off? Cause I'd be down for that."

Hoseok laughed, his head tilting back. "If you keep this up, then definitely." He winked before gathering the ingredients and throwing them into a pot.

I watched as he cooked. I hadn't known that he knew how to cook, but I was excited. The aroma of the vegetables and meat melted together and made my stomach growl. I wrapped my arms around his waist, my head resting on his shoulder. I could hear Hoseok hum before placing one hand on mine.

His voice when he spoke was barely above a whisper, but I heard it clearly, my insides blossoming. "I could get used to this."

A smile spread across my face as I tightened my grip ever-so-slightly. "Me too."

I'm excited for the next chapter. I've had the idea for a while and it's finally going to enter the story. :)
