It was our last day of training before the league starts. Jia and I were practicing our quicks some more when I heard Jema shout.
"Huy, Rosie! Baka naman matunaw na 'yan!"
When I glanced at Rosie, our eyes met before she looked away with a blush on her face and started running after Jema, probably to tell her off.
I bit my lower lip to hide my smile.
Rosie was very persistent and jolly that we never really stopped hanging out or talking. As friends, of course.
My head bobbed when a ball hit my head and I pouted as I touched my head.
"Focus," Jia said, coldly.
I kept pouting but continued training with Jia.
Jia ignored me until the end of practice.
I scratched my head thinking I got in trouble. I waited for Jia by her car after washing up.
"Tabi," she said when she reached me.
"Huy, galit ka ba?" I purposely blocked her door.
She squinted her eyes so hard at me that her eyes seemed to have vanished.
"Okay lang makipaglandian pero huwag sa practice at lalong huwag sa laro."
My eyes widened.
"Hindi ako nakikipaglandian!" I protested.
"Hindi ako ipinanganak kahapon," she retorted.
Then she pushed me, literally pushed me hard, away from her door and entered her car.
What the fuck?!
Jia rolled down her window and hit me in the face with what turned out to be a shirt.
"Ibinabalik ko na!" she said angrily before stepping on the gas.
It was my shirt that I let Jia borrowed once because she forgot her extra shirt.
"Oh, bakit andito ka pa?"
I turned and saw Jaja with Jema.
"Hinihintay mo si Rosie, 'no? Landi nito!"
I freaking face-palmed.
"Guys, hindi ako nakikipaglandian!" I said with forced calmness.
I know I am malandi but I also know when I'm being malandi versus when I'm not. And I wasn't!
I waved them ofd hastily went to my car to follow Jia. I didn't know what was wrong but I really hate it when Jia's pissed specially when she's pissed at me. Since I didn't have time to buy donuts, I just bought chocolates in a nearby convenience store.
When I got to Jia's condo and she opened her door, she was frowning and her arms were crossed. She still looked mad.
"Anong ginagawa mo dito?" Jia snapped.
I raised my hands in surrender.
"Look, can we talk? I don't understand why you're angry and I'm pretty sure it's not red day. Kakatapos mo lang, diba?"
I know because I'm very aware of what's going on with Jia and because I bought her a whole tub of ice cream a few days ago.
Jia was about to slam the door on me so quicly made a dash inside the room, side stepping Jia.
Jia closed the door before turning to me with a killer stare.
"C-chocolates?" I stuttered as she made her way to me and I offered the bag I've been holding since earlier.
