"Good morning," I greeted Jia when she opened the door the next morning.

I had Jia's favorite chocolate bar in front of me and she smiled as she took it and let me in.

"Good morning. Yesterday, flower. Now, chocolate," she said with a meaningful look.

I grinned widely.

"Actually, I bought a bouquet of flowers and a bag of chocolates. Iniisa-isa ko lang para tipid."

I got a laugh out of Jia and it made my heart soar.

"Practical. I like that in a person," she said with an amused smile.

"Yeah?"

"Yeah."

I placed my hands on Jia's waist as I dipped down to kiss her.

"Good morning again," I said.

"Good morning."

I couldn't help it. I kissed Jia again. I felt her smile against my lips.

"You like kissing me, don't you?" she teased when I moved back.

I blushed a little but I teased her back.

"I could say the same thing about you."

"Really? What made you think that?"

Jia put her arms around my neck and I caught my breath when she kissed me.

"I don't know," I played along. "Must be because you kissed me on my birthday. You were the one who kissed me first noong sinagot mo ako. And you actually kissed me three times already before I even had the guts to kiss you first."

Jia chuckled.

"Why are you counting? And besides, it's not my fault na mabagal ka."

I scratched the edge of my brow. I couldn't argue with that. I was going to lose anyway.

I got a few more kisses from Jia that morning before we went to practice.

When we got to practice, I wanted to hold her hand but I refrained. Jia and I actually haven't talked about if we were going to hide our relationship or not. Personally, I want to keep our relationship private first. I don't like the idea of people talking about Jia and meddling with our relationship. I feel so protective of Jia.

The moment we entered the gym, Jema came running to us.

"Jia, tayo muna partner sa warm up, please. Bea, kayo muna ni Rosie!"

I raised my brows at that and so did Jia. But Jia still agreed when Jema said she had something she wanted to talk to Jia about.

I didn't mind. But Jia did.

"Isabel," she hissed as she took a minute to talk to me before practice. "Ipinapaalala ko lang sayo na may girlfriend ka na. Umayos ka."

My eyes widened in indignation even though I felt happy when Jia said I have a girlfriend. Because I do have a girlfriend. Jia's my girlfriend. I'm so happy. Still, Jia's warning look made me a little bit defensive.

"I'm always maayos," I replied. "What are you even thinking?"

"Basta. Sinasabi ko sayo kapag masyado kang malandi, isiset ko ang bola sa mukha mo."

Jia walked away before I could even retort so I was left scratching my head.

During warm up, Rosie and I made small talks. She was a really funny girl so I found myself smiling a few times. It was those moments that I caught Jia glaring at me.
