I woke up to the feel of sunshine hitting my skin but I felt energized.

My heart stopped for a second when I became fully aware of my surrounding. Jia was still inside my arms with her arms around my waist as well. She looked so peaceful and beautiful as she slept. I gulped when my gaze landed on her slightly parted lips.

Oh, no. Oh, no. I musn't do anything stupid.

But oh, God, it was so tempting to kiss her. I badly wanted to kiss her.

Thank God she started to wake up. She opened her eyes and blinked several times before her gaze focused on me.

Then this beautiful smile erupted on her face that got me thinking of rainbows and butterflies.

"Good morning, Isabel," she said.

I gave her a small smile.

"It's probably not morning anymore, Melissa. Ang taas na ng tirik ng araw."

Jia's eyes widened and she hastily sat up to look at the watch on my bedside table. It was already 11 a.m.

"Shit!"

She jumped out of bed and hastily made way to her bag in the living room. I followed her feeling confused.

"Mamaya pa training," I said.

"May meeting na pinapapuntahan sakin si Papu ng 12 p.m.!" she groaned.

She made a dash towards the bathroom.

I decided to wash up in the kitchen sink and prepared a sandwich for Jia while she was in the bathroom. She made it out in record time.

"This is all your fault!" she grumbled as she prepared her things. "Bakit kasi ang sarap palang matulog na kayakap ka."

I don't think she meant for me to hear the last part so I pretended I didn't even when my heart fluttered and it made me grin.

I turned to Jia as I finished packing away the sandwich.

"So ganito na ba? Hindi pa nga tayo pero sinisisi mo na agad ako sa mga bagay-bagay," I teased.

Jia snapped her head towards me with raised brows.

"Flirting," I said with a sheepish grin trying to let her know that what happened last night was behind me already.

She did not get it.

"Eh, kagabi lang galit ka, ah."

"Well, I'm better now because I had a great sleep," I said and gave her a wink.

She rolled her eyes at me.

"For the record, kung magiging tayo-"

"Ops!" I cut her off. "You can't flirt back!"

"I wasn't-"

"You were," I said while shaking my head, feigning disappointment to tease her.

She groaned.

"Bahala ka na nga diyan. Malilate na ako."

She grabbed her things and walked towards the door but I stopped her.

"Here," I gave her the sandwich that I packed. "Eat it in the car para di ka sobrang gutom when you get there. Baka matakot sayo mga ka-meeting mo kasi monster ka pa naman kapag gutom."

She glared at me but thanked me nonetheless.

I pouted when she was about to leave again.

"Kiss ko?"
