I can feel him staring at me as he brushes my hair back from my face and I can hear him as he whispers, "How did I ever let you go?", but I keep my eyes closed and I pretend to not have heard him until eventually I drift back to sleep.

Hours later I wake up to the sun shining through my window and Rave  lightly snoring beside me. His arm draped over my body and his head close to mine. It's a good thing he's sleeping and can't see how red my face is right now, he would never let me live it down.

I slowly reach over to my nightstand where I keep a bottle of aspirin and down a couple before lying my throbbing head back against my pillow. I glance over at the boy beside me and notice how peaceful and relaxed he looks, like this is the first full night's sleep he has gotten in awhile.

I reach out and push his hair back, surprised at how soft and tangle free it is despite the way it always looks as if he just walked through 100 mph winds.

I trail my hand down to his face and lightly brush my thumb over his features, in awe of how one boy can be this beautiful and also here in my bed.

I know he's awake, I can hear the difference in his breathing, but he keeps his eyes closed and doesn't move.

I remember what he said the last time he spent the night here, about being used to sleeping on the floor. I had never asked him about it, but I'm still curious.

"Rave?"

"Hmm?" He still doesn't open his eyes, but a smile forms on his face and I let my fingers move down his face and towards his lips.

"What did you mean when you said you were used to sleeping on the floor?"

Rave's entire body tenses and his face is no longer relaxed and peaceful. My hand freezes, slowly dropping from his face and retreating back to my side. He doesn't say anything and it seems like he's holding his breath until eventually he opens his eyes and looks at me, "When did I say that?"

"The other night, when you slept on the floor. You told me you were used to it..." I watch as he closes his eyes again and scrunches his brows together. A few minutes pass and his muscles start to loosen as he relaxes and forces a smile.

"I was drunk, Ky. I didn't know what I was saying." He reaches out an arm and pulls me to him, shifting so that the top half of my body is laying on his chest and our faces are just inches apart.

"Are you sure?"

For a split second it looks like he's going to say something, to let me in on some secret or thought, but it's gone so fast I'm not even sure I really saw it. "Yeah, I don't even know what I could have meant by that." He says as he leans forward and kisses me, his lips lightly brushing mine at first and then getting deeper as he winds my hair around his fingers and places his other hand on my hip, pulling me closer.

He bites my lip and his hand slides under my shirt so that his hand is resting against my skin, he doesn't move it any further and I sigh in relief because even though I want to be more than friends with Rave - I don't know if I'm ready for that yet.

The front door slams shut, the sound echoing throughout the entire house and I break away from the kiss, rolling to the other side of the bed out of his reach. Rave laughs at my reaction and I reach over to cover his mouth with my hand. "Shh!"

Raising his hand to remove mine from his mouth, he laughs even louder. "Chill, Ky."

"Chill? Rave, my mom is home!" I pull my hand away from him and get out of the bed, walking towards my door and listening for my mom's footsteps.

"Ky, your mom loves me. You said so yourself." I can hear him getting out of the bed and then his hands are on my shoulders, turning me around so that I'm looking up at him, stifling a laugh at the way his hair is sticking straight up in the air.
