the wind was piercing the young womans skin as she walked down the dirt road to her house, her pale hands stuffed into the pockets of her navy blue windbreaker. the walk she had become so accustomed to walking every night seemed different tonight, almost untrustworthy, her blue eyes shifted around as she heard footsteps in the wooded area surrounding her, her imagination getting the best of her and striking fear deep inside as she convinced herself that she had seen a monster peeking at her from behind the trees. though she tried to laugh it off the woman told herself that as soon as she got home she was going to start looking for a cheap car to buy so that she wouldn’t have to walk home anymore.

she began to pick up her pace, her own footsteps started to sound loud in her head, pounding against her ears before she stopped and swiveled around to look behind her. a dark figure stood in the distance, barely visible in the black night but she swore she could see an evil smile on their face. the woman quickly turned around and ran, her heeled boots making the task more difficult as she stumbled over her own feet. she felt something sharp sink into her flesh and let out a scream, she fell to the ground harshly with her hands flying out in front of her in an attempt to stop the impact. she turned to look at her leg, a blade was sticking out of her calf as blood ran down her leg quickly.

a hand grabbed her and forced her to look at them, their face was covered with a bandana leaving only their dark, devilish eyes to stare into her own. the person bent close to her ear, covering her mouth with their hand before they pulled the knife out of her calf. she screamed even louder, hot tears falling from her eyes quickly. the person chuckled darkly as he pulled off his bandana and leaned into her neck, “oh you’re going to be fun.”

then two sharp fangs sank into her neck. the woman screamed again, louder than before as her attacker lifted her into their arms and disappeared into the night, leaving only a small puddle of blood and a black bandana in their wake.
