godric had taken hadley to her house first to see cris and to change into clean clothes before going back to the nest, the youngest love sister ran to the two as they walked through the door and pulled both of them into a hug. the two girls cried as they hugged, hadley getting hit upside the head and scolded by cris for scaring her half to death and leaving her with eric.
hadley and godric took a shower together, they didn't speak they just enjoyed each other's presence. in all honesty, hadley wasn't sure what to say to him and he felt the same. he regretted not telling her why he went to the fellowship, but he felt if he did tell her she would only blame herself.
when they got out, godric sat on the bed and watched the woman walk around the room in search of a respectable outfit. "i have missed you, you do know this right?"
hadley looked over her shoulder at him and nodded, a sad smile on her face. she finally picked up a dress and slipped it on, it was very elegant looking. a maroon color with spaghetti straps, it flowed around her, making her look like a princess. she walked towards godric and sat next to him on the bed, "while you were gone, i was so scared of everything." she looked up into his beautiful eyes, "i couldn't help but think it was like julia all over again."
godric felt even more guilty about wanting to meet the sun, he lay his hand on top of her own soft one. "let's go, love."
they left cris at the house, promising that hadley would be back home by a respectable time and if not that she would call first. when they showed up to the nest the party was already in full swing, vampires and humans mingled and flirted.
godric sat in a chair off to the side of all of the excitement with hadley next to him in a chair of her own, they held their hands together tightly. she didn't want to say anything but she noticed godric didn't want to be there, whenever someone would come to speak he would merely look down.
jason stackhouse came up to them next and held a nervous smile, "i just want to say i'm real sorry for what the fellowship put you through." he glanced at hadley who smiled thankfully at him, he then went to walk away when godric said something.
"you helped save many lives today, mr. stackhouse. please know you have friends in this area whenever you visit."
"thanks, man, but, i don't know if i'll be wanting to come back anytime soon." he gave a joking smile but it was obvious that he wasn't kidding.
"sookie is lucky to have a brother like you, mr. stackhouse." hadley spoke up, "family is very important, do not forget that."
