the secluded world that the love sisters had grown up living in had changed drastically when their elder sister, julia, disappeared. the two girls were left scared and alone without their gurdian there by their side, after their parents had died julia was the only one that was there to protect them from the big bad world. the people in their small country town couldn't get enough of the distraught siblings, but when the ditzy hadley love got her shit together for her younger sister they were shocked. the girl packed up their trailer home after growing tired of sitting around and being upset all the time and moved them out to the large and busy city of dallas. she dropped out of college and picked up two jobs so she could afford their new life, their new life was hectic and busy and made the girls butt heads often but it would always end up with them crying together on the floor and playing board games all night while country music played in the background. the two found out a way to work everything out, cris love got her own job to help her sister and hadley had saturdays off that were reserved for her and cris to go and do something. this is why hadley and cris were out at a club on a saturday night, without a care in the world.

the colorful lights flashed all around, a tacky disco ball hung overhead and cheap decorations taped to the walls in celebration for valentines day. hadley danced with her head in the clouds, her eyes narrowed in a flirty way as a handsome man approached her and attempted to put his hands on her hips only for her to gently push him away, teasing him. cris watched from her uncomfortable seat at the bar as the man grabbed onto hadley's shoulder agressively and whispered in her ear before grabbing onto her chest, hadley's eyes glazed over and she gave the man a fake smile as she pulled him in seductively before kneeing him in the groin. the younger girl laughed to herself as she heard the bartended groan from what he had just watched, she took a five dollar bill from her bra and placed it on the counter to pay for her water before she walked towards her sister. her long blonde hair flowed behind her and she continued to pull at the end of her dress to keep from exposing herself in the middle of the bar. she wrapped her hands around her sisters wrists once she got closer and smiled at her, forcing her to dance with her to the loud music that pounded in their ears. they had become so caught up in the moment they didn't pay any attention to the small grou of people watching them from afar, giving their sheriff confused and worried looks as he eyes the older sister with a smile.

the air was slowly getting hotter in the club, beads of sweat were falling down hadley's forehead and she felt way too lightheaded to dance anymore. she attempted to shout to her younger sister that she needed to get some air but it was far too loud so she tapped on the girls shoulder and leaned in to her ear "i need some air" she laughed, pressing a kiss to her cheek before she made her way through the crowd, smiling kindly at the people she bumped and offering quiet apologies as she continued out. she finally made it to an area that wasn't crowded and looked back to find her sister in the crowd of sweaty dancing bodies, instead of finding her sister she locked eyes with a beautiful man. he had cropped brown hair and a white shirt that allowed the tattoos around his collar bone to peek out. she let out a shaky beath as they stared at each other a few seconds longer than any strangers would before she turned around and walked out of the club, she put her hand on the bouncer's back and gave him a smile which he returned before giving the people in line deadly glares. "don't be too harsh on them james" she laughed, the bouncer rolled his eyes at her and let her walk past him.

the woman walked away from the club and all of the noise and towards an alleyway, she stopped a few feet from the turn into the very sketcy area and leaned against the brick wall. she took a deep breath and allowed her shoulders to relax and her jaw to unclench, she didn't realize how tense she was until she left all of the excitement. she shut her eyes and let the bricks help cool her down, she opened her eyes when she heard footsteps beside her, she looked over and saw a figure approaching her. she turned to see who it was, putting up a guard when she saw it was the man she had locked eyes with inside. she had half expected him to give her his best cheesy pickup line but he didn't, he didn't even look at her at first. he just stood a foot away from her and leaned against the wall as well, she grew nervous about his presence and her heart started to beat faster. 'there's a lot of brick you know?" the man smiled at her and she swore her heart skipped a beat, she crossed her arms across her chest to try and seem more intimidating as she struggled to hide the smile that began to appear on her lips. the man watched her closely with a childlike wonder as he took in all of her features, "what on earth are you staring at?"

the man shrugged his shoulders "you." he said as if it was the only right answer, he watched her tuck in a few loose strands of hair before rubbing gently above her right eyebrow that had a small scar that was filled in with makeup. a smile found its way onto the mans lips as her hair fell back down in her face, he reached out and gently brushed the hair back.

a blush found it's way across her cheeks as his hand lingered on her cheek for a few seconds, "i uh i'm hadley."

"it's lovely to meet you hadley, i'm godric."
