the very harsh shaking of the fence woke hadley from her very peaceful nap, she turned her head to see a irritatingly happy steve newlin with a few water bottles in his hand. "refreshments?" he slid the bottles under the gate, "how did y'all sleep?"

"like a baby." hadley said with an emotionless face, her voice dull and somewhat scary. "they will come for us you realize?"

"yeah. well, that's what i thought. figured two pretty girls like y'all would have some vamps running off to your rescue. we were actually kinda hoping for it, weren't we, gabe?"

gabe nodded and steve crossed his arms over her chest smugly, bragging about how ready they were for a vampire attack. hugo loudly sucked down the water behind them, sookie walked up to the fence. "you're gonna get yourself killed. that's not a threat, it's a fact."

"they've got you all twisted up, haven't they, with their glamoring and their empty promises and their evil blood." hadley shook her head and grabbed a water bottle from the floor, opening it and taking a couple of sips before putting the cap back on and holding it in her hands.

sookie walked even closer to the fence, "you're the ones who are twisted. you call yourself christians? jesus would be ashamed of you."

steve laughed at the woman mockingly before pulling out a chair and apologizing for how they treated the group the other night, which made hadley scoff loudly. "all i want is a couple of answers, then i'll feed y'all a nice hot breakfast and send you on your way."

hugo seemed to jump at this and got up from his seat, "her name is sookie stackhouse, i'm hugo ayers, and that's hadley love. we were sent here by the vampires of area nine to find their sheriff."

hadley agressively threw her water bottle at hugo's head, "you motherfucker!" she quickly got to her feet as steve repeated the two women's names.

"you're jason stackhouse's sister," he looked to hadley now who was ready to tear someone's head off "and you, you belong to the sheriff."

"why does everyone say that?" hadley quietly asked herself as sookie yelled that her brother had nothing to do with her being there, walking as long as the cage would allow her as steve left the three of them.

"we've waited all night for your boyfriend's to show up. you can play damsel in distress all you want, but one way or another, i'm getting us out of here." hadley narrowed her eyes at the man before punching him between the eyes, shaking her hand as pain radiated all over her knuckles.

the man kicked a few boxes angrily as hadley walked over to sookie who was now deep in thought, she examined her knuckles that had begun turning red and rubbed them gently.
