she had never felt more prepared for something in her life, hadley had woken up extra early to get dressed in her most innocent looking outfit so she could match the part of sookie's bridesmaid. she looked in the mirror that was placed right next to the front door, fixing her hair before smiling evily and walking out of the house.

sookie had called her after her and cris' heart to heart and explained that hugo would be going with them posing as her husband to be, they were supposed to be looking for a church for the wedding. sookie had also apologized profusely for being so blunt about godric, which hadley only sighed and said 'its okay' when really she didn't feel like it was.

she was now waiting at the sidewalk in front of her house for the 'newlyweds' to pull up, and they did in a few short minutes. sookie was so excited and would not stop talking the whole way there, hadley got the feeling that bill didn't let the woman do what she wanted much without someone looking over her.

the drive wasn't too long but hadley did fall asleep in the car, sookie took a picture of her to prove it, only waking up when hugo snapped at her. "we're here."

hadley looked at him with narrowed eyes, "the fuck you think you're talking to buddy?" she asked, seeing his eyes roll in the rearview mirror in front of them. he went over the basics and told the two women not to do much talking, yeah right, because it would be suspicious.

she didn't understand how two wedding happy women talking about the details would be suspicious but she ignored it and decided to go along, but deep down she wanted to slap him.

sarah newlin was waiting happily as they walked over to her, "hi, there. i just happened to be looking out the window as you were driving up, and i thought i'd come on out and greet you myself. i'm sarah newlin. and you all are?"

"hi. holly simpson. i cannot believe i'm actually meeting you in person. you are cute as a button." sookie said, earning an amused smile from hadley.

"oh, thank you, holly. and you're like a cool breeze on a hot summer day."

"quit." sookie smiled, gently touching hadley's arm and giving her a quick glance. "do you hear her?"

the woman nodded with wide eyes, "and you are?" sarah asked hugo, who went to speak but was interrupted by sookie once more.

"oh, silly me. this is rufus dobson, my fiance. i love saying that word. in fact, sometimes i love it so much, i don't even want to get married just so i can keep on calling him it. but we're going to. get married that is. which is why we're looking for a church."

sarah smiled wide at sookie before looking over at hadley expectantly, "julia simpson, holly's younger sister by exactly one year, thirty five days and twenty eight minutes. so pleased to finally meet you, holly does not shut up about you."

the woman smiled even more, laughing along as hadley spoke before she walked them up the sidewalk to the church and talked about her husband steve. when she got further ahead of them sookie admitted that she talked a lot when nervous and hadley only smiled, shaking her head as she followed the reverend's wife.
