Something funny about being broken
Is the denial that you are
You convince yourself and others that you're fine
You convince yourself and others there's nothing to worry about
Well, friend, you are wrong
Because you are broken
And that is simply fact
You are indeed broken
Like a record that just repeats and repeats and repeats and re- you get it
You are indeed broken
You do need help
You are indeed broken
The rejection of said help isn't going to aid you in anyway
You are indeed broken
You're in need of a smile
You are indeed broken
Losing your ability to believe in "foolish things like love"
You are indeed broken
And you wish you could just scream how much you hurt
You are indeed broken
And you know you know that you are
I am indeed broken
And yet, I still try and convince myself I'm not
I am indeed broken
And yet, here I am saying that you are
We are indeed broken
And broken we shall stay
We are indeed broken,
But, for now I can't see it going away.
